  1. Sounds like UND wants to do what Arizona State is planning on doing to make money.
  2. The only team that looks to have kept their attendance up in the B1G is Michigan. That gold block "M" at Minnesota is just the fans looking like seats right? Ohio State can't get anyone to show up. Wisconsin has been loosing fans in droves. Michigan State has been terrible and it shows in the stands. Penn State is selling out because there isn't anything else to do in Happy Valley, then again Penn State starts having losing records like Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan State the attendance will go down.
  3. More on Holy Cross and Hockey East. Mike McMahon ‏@MikeMcMahonCHN Sep 27 Boston, MA Per sources, Hockey East ADs have decided to "hold off" on Holy Cross for now as a 12th men's team. Concerns over availability of DCU.
  4. 2-1 Canada wins the WHC. Not surprised Canada won at all, Bettman will be happy they won.
  5. Europe should have gotten a penalty shot.
  6. A Gopher fan on USCHO finally has an answer to make the B1G better in hockey (I think he's a Gopher fan). His idea is that NCAA hockey should have a I-AA division so the B1G will be able to compete.

    Manitoba?

Manitoba has only one loss in the pre-season and has handled everyone else they have played. Their season starts October 14th Manitoba has won only one CIS University Cup, Alberta is the standard with 15 CIS University Cups and Toronto Varsity Blues Having 10 CIS University Cups. The series has been going on since 2001 14-0 UND (that's as far back as I can find) It's not a Hakstol connection. They happen to be close and it's a tune-up game for UND, I'd rather have the game to play then not have the game to play. Nick Zajac I don't think is related to Travis and his brothers, but he could be a cousin.
  9. Canada beats Europe 3-1 Leads series 1-0 "What I think is clear to everybody is despite a lot of skepticism a year ago the concept worked pretty well, and secondly there's no doubt that part of the competitiveness, maybe the most competitive international hockey tournament ever, was a function of the fact that Team Europe and Team North America were certainly more competitive than the seventh and eighth country teams would have been," Commissioner Bettman said. https://www.wch2016.com/news/nhl-looking-at-sites-for-future-world-cup-tournaments/c-282182918 The World Cup of Hockey will never have the prestige that the Olympics have no matter what Bettman says or thinks. The World Cup of Hockey is Bettmans' way to compete against the Olympics and force the NHL players out of the Olympics, it's going to fail like last time. Three teams didn't really care to be in the World Cup of Hockey, the USA and Finland really didn't care to be there evident by how they played. I think this was the year for Team North America because the next time I don't expect them to be as good or flashy as they were this year. I have a feeling there will be another lockout in the NHL, because the players want to play in the Olympics and they want to play for their country not teams like Europe and North America.
  10. 7:30 Friday 8:00 Saturday should be the times of the games.
  11. It would be nice to see the NCHC do something for him, since he did ref in the conference in the beginning. If I remember right he was a Sioux.
  12. Arizona States' coach Powers hinted to a new arena on campus.
  13. The ECHL team in Salt Lake City plays in a 12,000+ seat arena and would be closer to Las Vegas.
  14. I didn't know Weber State has a nice hockey arena on campus (2000 seats). Utah State has a decent arena to play in (2200). BYU and Utah Valley could easily expand Peaks Ice Arena to 8,400 (Olympic capacity) from its current 2300. Utah has the Maverick Center when the ECHL team plays (could be the home of Las Vegas' AHL team). Wait and see how Arizona State and potentially UNLV, if they move up, do at the NCAA D1 before anyone in the west makes a move.
  15. Team Europe beat Sweden in OT 3-2 Game winning goal maybe shouldn't have counted.
  16. Key words "use to be." The Big Sky having an app proves nothing. Having an app makes it easier to access Big Sky sports on your phone, since everyone for the most part has smart phones. The Big Sky has a Twitter account that must mean they are going FBS.
  17. WAC already has an app, nice reach though.
  18. 1-0 Canada ESPN send Buccigross back to Bristol and leave Levy to call the rest of the games. Levy for the NCAA games!
