I happened to venture into the feral lands of college hockey reddit the other day.............. SiouxSports being a talking point over there by a fan base that talks about firing their coaches more than here (Minnesota) and others including ours. On how we are all unreasonable about the coaching change. Still find it odd how there are fans of UND over there that bring up Sandy and how he was recently but fail to realize he would have been fired after 5 season here. Or how he did he do with less than he would have had here. Well, let's look at other schools: Yale, Union, Providence, UMass, Quinnipiac, and Mankato all don't have what UND has yet they find a way to be in the discussion each year. Two things that keep coming up are the 2020 season and the 5 OT game. How UND was going to win a National Title and how unfair the 2021 Fargo Regional Final was unfair. We have no idea if UND would have won the game against Sacred Heart (going by the PWR they would be 16th). Due to Loveland being the closest regional and Denver hosting UND probably would have gotten them in the regional final (all the other regionals were in the east and 3 west teams in the top 4). With Denver being the highest 2 seed, they could have beat UND if the season wasn't cancelled. The 5 OT game against Duluth, it took two @MafiaMan mG<2-minute special goals to tie that game. BC who didn't have to play a first-round game lost in their Regional Final, so the whole unfair argument is dumb. Enough with my off-topic soapbox rant about these two things but the ifs and buts on those two seasons get so old.

2? And it’s the same two that get hired over and over and over and over again. Oddly they seem to replace each other at teams too.

That’s actually kind of funny

Torts fired by Philly

Brings me a little joy. Keep hiring the guys that keep getting fired. While the guy that over achieved never gets enough time to remotely succeed.

Selling for $1.7 billion with $425 million in debt and joe Pohlad wants to keep his front office role/control. 🤨🤔

So, I saw that AAU D3 had the Keepers of the Cup bring out their trophy. It would be kind of cool if the Frozen Four did that.

They usually just pencil in the years -
And now they are a D2 program.

The more I look into some of these, the more I like. I’m very high on McFarland 39 years old with 7 years experience in the NHL and was on Haks staff in Seattle. Played USport and has won in two of the league’s in the CHL.

gfhockey from universe B He has perfect grammar and spelling

Another thing with this whole "not thought out fully because you didn't get the main guy" process is that all the top candidates are in the playoffs.

They need to get 1 or 2 defensemen out of there. This is why I’d bring in an extra defensemen

Larsen said this was supposed to be a rebuilding year at St. Cloud then Posch was doing so well before the injury. After that they fell to where they probably should have been.
-
Didn't make sense to me why they never looked like they were out recruiting with all the coaches on the bench.
-
Surprised Posch signed after what happened this season. St. Thomas losing their #3 scorer for next season

Instead of bringing in 2 defensemen they bring in 3 maybe 4 -
Not getting stabbed in class at UND vs ASU

Next time they do another job posting for the head coach: Don't make it a 3-day search. Don't be scared of the portal during the search, the assistants should be talking to the current players and recruits to keep them there. Take their time getting the right guy not the most convenient one. Don't have a part that says, "you have to have a connection to UND." That basically makes the pool of coaches very small. Having someone not from the UND family breathes new life and new perspective into the program. Don't have a specific amount of years coaching in the NHL/NCAA. There are plenty of coaches that have experience at these levels that are coaching in the CHL, USHL, and AHL, but don't have the specific years' experience asked for.

Probably the combination of B1G and NCHC
