Ottawa shows $12k in cap space which will change on the 21st. They are working on a 4-year deal. He's a RFA next season if no deal beforehand.

$775K 1 year for Pinto

Bergeron has a year left if I remember correctly and Miami isn't going to buyout his contract if you go by the money troubles Miami has from their message board. Gabinet was basically handpicked to be an assistant coach to take over after Blais. I don't see him leaving anytime soon or Omaha forcing him out. Omaha dropping football and wrestling had to do with University of Nebraska and not competing for players, or that is at least what has been said about it (Mavpuck would know more about it). Colorado College was in way worse shape after Scott Owens left then Western Michigan when Jeff Blashill left and Andy Murry took over.

They also don't want Olympic ice sheets, so that would keep the Broadmoor from being used. Odd that Lindenwood's arena is hosting a regional where the main rink holds 2,500 and the outdoor rink holds 4,000. so not sure how they let them host. -
That tie dropped Wisconsin from 2nd to 5th

St. Cloud wins the SO

Wisconsin and Lindenwood tied 3-3 OT
-
The 5 called on St. Cloud looked like the Denver player got a jack-in-the-box hit. And it got Denver back in the game

Miami loses Neaton to a injery Cornell sweeps Arizona State 4-1 and the ASU goal was a BS delay of game 5x3

These green (blue) lines look wrong. Glad they didn't let Michigan State do that (a darker green) a few years ago.

Those 2 have no more eligibility left. This makes me wonder why keep a player who had 4 years to prove himself just to take a spot from a younger player that does that players role. -

From what I’ve heard he told them when he was drafted he didn’t want to play for the Flyers.

Interesting take The quote is from here Tigers hope to build on first-half momentum heading into challenging Minnesota road trip | PAISLEY HOCKEY (wordpress.com)

It's like the Maple Leafs just don't care to make a team that can win. Nope let's overpay our big 4 so we don't have any money to get better defense and goaltending or even other role players.
-
Gabinet is safe for a while, they didn't even do a coaching search when he took over from Blais. Sounds like the Miami fans can't wait for Bergeron to be gone, but I don't see them buyout his remaining contract.

Yes, that is what happens. Power plays use to go a full 2 minutes even when a goal was scored but that was changed because the Canadians were too good on the power play. Still better than the dumb rule USA Hockey wanted where a team shorthanded can't ice the puck.
-
So, today I heard of a jailbreak goal. This is a goal that is scored shorthanded which would end the pp early for the team killing the penalty. Leave it to the PWHL having an idea that makes sense. I like the idea and could see the NHL adapting it along with other leagues. So, I looked to see how many shorthanded goals are scored in NCAA and NHL In the NHL there has been 99 players that have scored shorthanded with the most being 5 by two players. NCAA has 7 teams not score a shorthanded goal with Northeastern with 7 goals, and 10 teams that haven't given up a shorthanded goal with Stonehill giving up 9 shorthanded goals.

I still can't believe that Stonehill was winning both games against them. The only other game Stonehill lost by 1 was Merrimack when they scored under a minute to make it 3-2. Merrimack should have won 3-1. None of the teams ASU has left are above them in the PWR. ASU is a victim of scheduling bad teams where Denver, Providence, and Cornell are the power teams. CC is more of the getting better but not the power they use to be. The Ivy schools are all terrible this year with Cornell and Dartmouth the only two above 30 in the PWR.
