I just remember someone saying that the Sprit Lake Sioux Tribe was going to control the trademarks.

How many of these World Cup of Hockey tournament did they do? I only remember the year the US won it.

If I'm not mistaken the tribe hold all licensing and trademarks.

Wisconsin seems to be the only ones vocal about it.

Yeah, a team made up of European players who's countries are not represented and a team of under 23 year old North Americans that don't make the USA or Canada teams. I'm starting to hat Gary Bettman more and more, he has single handedly made some of the dumbest decisions in hockey (shootout being one of them). His decision to expand the NHL into non-traditional areas has actually worked in expanding the sport at the youth level. I don't think Bettman realizes that if the US wins the gold medal again it will benefit hockey like it did after the 1980 games.

This season looks to be a big drop-off from last year. About this time last year Maine was 7-6-0, this year 3-12-1. After finishing 16-15-4 you'd expect Maine to improve from last year, right now I don't see Maine finishing above .500.

Why is the NHL bringing back the World Cup of Hockey? It will never be as popular as the Olympics. The renderings for the new Las Vegas Arena being built look pretty cool.

From what someone said on USCHO there are no B1G schools adding hockey, so I'm not sure. The MSG thing has more to do with basketball, they are moving the B1G Tournament there with D.C. maybe hosting the B1G Tournament.

B1G is doing a hockey/basketball doubleheader at Madison Square Garden starting January 2016. Edit: These games will be regular season hockey games.

ASU is going with the coach they have now. Gwozdecky is one of three coaches the Badger fans would take on Buckyville, the other two are Blasi and Hakstol (they don't see Blasi or Hakstol ever taking the job, but would take them over Eaves).
