  1. My mistake. You are the only one who knows anyone or has any sources. You have no clue who I am or who I know. I (and many others) just don't feel a need to drop other people's names at every chance.

    UND Investigation

    UND PD Investigation

But I guess those aren't from unnamed sources close to the team like you have.

You really think they wanted to find anything? Do you really believe that wanted to find something that would have forced them to expel numerous hockey players? If you do have some nice beach front property along the San Andreas Fault for you. I have known a lot of players and coaches going back to the early 80's and you?
  2. Gotcha. The police department and University's investigation found it wasn't a hazing incident, but your anonymous source says it was. I'll remember that anonymous sources are OK as being credible when discussing things with you.

He played on the team. Sorry that you have never known anyone personally that ever played. What investigation? You people have the mentality of a bunch of middle school girls. The pack of cats with the claws bared at anyone that does not toe your way of thought. HHHHIIIIISSSSS!!!!!!
  3. Joey Anderson of Hill-Murray committed to Duluth today. A lot of people believed he was a future Gopher so it is a big suprise to see him go somewhwere else. Anderson is a huge get for the Bulldogs and will be a freshman at Hill-Murray next season.

Which means he has 3-4 years to change his mind if he is only in 8th grade and 14 years old.
  4. Okay since you are a visiting troll here I will point out that the topics are listed for each thread - this one's topic is "Eight Bison Football Players Charged". Thus bringing up anything other than the subject would be considered changing the subject.

Ah it was brought up in the link posted by bincitysioux. Or I should say what was omitted in the link provided by bincitysioux. so simply it was pertinent to this thread. Also it has been brought up numerous times in this thread by many. Including you most likely.
  5. I seem to remember there were punishments issued by the team and the school which had long-range repercussions including attending sessions, harder punishments on new similar incidences (including lost scholarships) - but once again it's time to change the subject when the subject makes you uncomfortable.

Give it a rest. I am not the one being a hypocrite here. I did not change the subject it is you who is trying to spin away from what you find uncomfortable. What if he had died from alcohol poisoning, thank goodness for the RA standing up to them? That is manslaughter you know right? Or would you have defended them still? Their stupidity almost cost a life and you seem fine with that. Shame on you!
  6. If you ask me, this is no different than what happens on espn these days. This guy and the herald know that by writing this controversial piece their website will get a huge influx of hits.

Pretend to be offended, write a controversial article and watch the sheep flow to you. It's been happening for years.

Funny how the hazing incident last fall, forcing freshmen to consume so much alcohol they ended up in the emergency with alcohol poisoning, was skipped over? If the RA had not intervened what would the story have been if the player died and other players charged with manslaughter? When something blows up on UND sports, this is not and if it is a when, what will their story be then?
  7. The full list:

Craig Ludwig (Montreal 85-86, Dallas 98-99)

    Geoff Smith (Edmonton 89-90)

    Jay Caufield (Pittsburgh 90-91, 91-92)

    Troy Murray (Colorado 95-96)

    Ed Belfour (Dallas 98-99)

    Tony Hrkac (Dallas 98-99)

Rick Wilson (Asst. Coach Dallas 98-99)

    Brad Bombardir (New Jersey 99-00)

    Mike Commodore (Carolina 05-06)

    Jonathan Toews (Chicago 09-10)

    Matt Greene (Los Angeles 11-12)

Gord Sherven was in Edmonton in 1984 and rostered but did not play.
  8. But it always had a milk carton on top of it.

    We were Henry's Hamburgers people.

The milk carton is an icon in GF. Henry's burgers were good but nothing beat the pancakes and hot beef sandwiches at Miller's Café. Still have never found a pancake or hot beef as good anywhere. Playing mini golf on Washington was always fun.
  9. I miss Valley Dairy. Hey Watchmaker, remember when we were in 6th Grade and we had candy day? Everyone would go over to Valley Dairy and stock up. There was one kid who had little more means than the rest of us who would buy half the candy aisle. He owns a liquor store not far from there now.

Massive amounts of bubblegum. Yeah he did stock up on the candy didn't he. He was a big boy though. Remember how many times over the years the inside of that store changed? I remember buying returnable 12 oz bottles of pop there. Then we had Henry's and King Leos to go to also.
  10. I am specifically talking about Matt Greene. His donation is listed on the Donors page on the Spirit Campaign website under "Major Gifts: $25,000 - $99,999 [A-G]". Learn to read.

My terrible bad and I apologize. I read the dang thing twice and missed it. You are absolutely correct and I was absolutely wrong. That makes three names on the list only out of how many? I was surprised to see Paranica's name on the list. He never signed a big dollar contract.
  11. My argument was never hockey players, yours was. You are the one that differentiates them, not me. Regardless, Matt Greene is absolutely on the list of donors to the Spirit campaign along with a specific page detailing his donation to the Spirit campaign, which I linked to.

And again, the Spirit donation list isn't an all inclusive donation list. You have no idea what other donations hockey players have given back to the University, you just assume they haven't.

Edit: You were trying to make this same argument last August and Matt Greene's donation was pointed out to you then. Seriously??

You say I assume they haven't but at the same time you are assuming they have. You have know idea that any have. If they have would there not have been a story like Greene's? You can put away the back hoe before you dig yourself any deeper of a hole. You say his name is absolutely on list then show me where on the list it is. Wait you can't because it is not on this list.

I asked about hockey players once again and you again keep spinning away.
  13. Are you sure you read the list? Matt Greene is on there and he has signed a multi-million dollar contract. I included former athletes and not just hockey players because I don't really differentiate. Kleinsasser is an easy example of a former athlete that gives back to UND.

That list isn't an all-inclusive donor list either, that is just for the Spirit campaign, just because they aren't on that list doesn't mean they haven't given back. Also, many of the guys who have signed the big contracts are still young, I don't think it is a stretch that in the future we will see their names on donor lists as well as they get older.

I read the list you referred to and now you spin away from the amount given by HOCKEY PLAYERS not athletes. Greene's name is not on this list by the way. I asked to see the list that shows all these donations by hockey players you speak of. You know you won't find one so you change your argument in mid-stream. They have never really given any money back or scholarship dollars. If they had you would be able to produce it.
