I can read the other posts that said he could not switch to a Big 10 school. LOL was for the numerous previous posts about how everybody wants to play for a Big 10 school. Hence, the sarcasm of my post.He signed his letter of intent already so OSU wouldn't release him if he was going to go to a Big 10 school.

I thought everybody wanted to play in the Big 10? LOL By the way does anyone know now that they have a league for hockey what will become of the Rodents and FSN? Big 10 network does not really cover hockey at all.Good get for Mankato and I think good choice for Stepan. I had heard he had no interest in going to Ohio State after the firing of their coach and Ohio State was trying to block him from going to any B1G or NCHC school and if that was the case and he wanted to stay close to home(don't know but could be a reason rather than going out east) it would really have been between Bemidji and Mankato and I think Mankato will have a very nice future in the WCHA.

Go back some pages and they were always included in this thread. When you say that people lost their right to vote and you never bothered to do anything to help you should just keep quite about it. Otherwise you look like a hypocrite. I have nothing against them it is just if you live in a glass house you should not be throwing rocks at the walls. Much of this thread has had to do with discipline of athletes and UND fans claiming the high road.So in order for a nd citizen to truly believe in something or against something they should be out petitioning? Ok sure! And last time I checked there were no und athletes involved in the voter fraud scandal.
And why do you keep changing the subject of this thread around on und hockey players when the thread is titled eight bison football players charged? I'd be interested in learning...especially considering your close ties to the hockey program which you claim by your supposed inside information.....what is it you have against und athletes to turn every thread around onto them?

Because if it was so important to you that people voted you should have given your time. They did not steal any rights from ND citizens. It is not as if they were the only people with petitions. They cost money in the same way that UND players have cost the state money but you do not complain about that now do you. You never quite digging the hole deeper do you? Gothberg evidently thought the same thing but not a peep out of you for that.I didn't volunteer nor was I paid to circulate the petitions. What difference does that make? This thread is about 8 former bison players who were paid to circulate petitions and forged signatures AND obviously thought their punishment and the nd courts are a joke. It's called voter fraud and they did steal rights from nd residents and they did cost us money.

That is not what was being referred to though. How much have UND players cost the taxpayers with their shenanigans? They did not steal anyone's right to vote. As if they were the only people circulating petitions. Did your volunteer to circulate petitions for both questions since they were so important? Didn't think so.Pretty sure those player stole all North Dakotans rights to vote on what many feel are important issues.
And the money was stolen. Maybe not directly from the state taxpayers but trust me the tax payers do and will pay for the extra money that has and will be spent because of the fraud.

When it is the difference of being in the black or the red where to you think they would go? There is no way UND would not jump on a game like this in a heartbeat. They could care less how bad they got beat. They still have a check for 525K. Do you think the players would rather play Crookston and beat them 70-0 or get beat by Oregon 70-0. You know the guys they watch on TV. Not much of a question here.Why jump on it? To get beat by 70? I'd rather play the types of FBS games we have been playing and will be playing over the next few years. Still get a nice paycheck and we'll eventually get over the hump and knock one of these teams off. A lot of posters here like to rip on the bison posters about their cupcake FBS scheduling but I'd be very happy to copy their scheduling formula when it comes to FBS games.

These football players did not steal one penny from the North Dakota taxpayers. Get a clue or a better grip on reality. Also this was not a fraud against all of North Dakota. Frattin was not the top player at the time. If you are going to embellish get some of your facts straight first.Here's the difference between premier universities and the AC:
While universities like Notre Dame and North Dakota will suspend and/or kick star players like Golson and Frattin off the team for violating academic rules or for drinking, the AC looks the other way when their football players steal hundreds of thousands of dollars from North Dakota tax payers. The AC administration was actually somewhat giddy that was "only" fraud against all of North Dakota and that it didn't involve rape.
Notre Dame has no problem kicking its starting QB off the football team and North Dakota has no problem kicking its top player off the hockey team but the AC won't consider any form of punishment for anything less than a rape charge. You have to sympathize with Bohl and Taylor though. If they were going to kick players off for crimes other than rape, they wouldn't have enough players field a team.

So you are saying that UND did want to know what happened?I am sure the same goes with NDSU and Fargo PD to. Every time they get a call about a football player breaking the law they try to keep it hush hush as not to jeopardize the season.

Their investigation would have meant talking to the players and all would have lied. No. They were not part of a cover up they just had nothing to go on. I doubt they leaned on them very hard either.
