  1. Good lord - a little elitism here? Much better teams than UND have lost to BSU. Notre Dame in '09? UMD last year? BSU isn't exactly AIC...
  2. I'm not sure how much can be taken from the "RMU played BSU tough, and BSU plays UND tough" argument though... Look at it this way - BSU and RMU played 7 times last year and 7 times in '08-'09 (and all after January 29th). So, in about 13 and a half months (between Jan 30, 2009 and March 13, 2010), BSU and RMU played 14 times. Any chance Derek Schooley and Tom Serratore got a pretty good idea what the other team was planning on doing, and each kid on each team knew the other pretty damn well?
  3. It is on tv, you don't understand how to pick it up? Go to Best Buy - I guarantee they'll demonstrate how it works for you. Don't want to go there? Here you go: Seriously, all this complaining about ota and spending $15 on an antenna is out of controll... Want to spend less? Here ya go:
  4. You could completely get rid of all pay TV subscriptions you have, and still watch BSU hockey, but not the Sioux. Funny, I'd take BSU's TV deal over UND's any day. Seriouslly - live and HD in most of Minnesota, most of North Dakota, part of Iowa, part of SD and part of Wisconsin, no matter what TV service you have (note that for the last several years, half Bemidji couldn't watch home games because there's competing cable compaines in town, and only one - Midco - had the games. The other - PBTV - plus satellite did not). Or, you could complain about it. This from folks that would be more than glad to pay-per-view upwards of $10 a game to watch grainy video on the net. Now, all you've got to do is pay ~$15 ONCE, and you've got every game UND will play in Bemidji.
  5. I had a casual interest in getting a tattoo (not a Sioux one), and my wife had said she didn't like them. It wasn't a big deal to me, like I said, I never felt as though it was something I needed to do. One day, we were out, and I saw a tat I really liked, and commented on it to her. So she said, "yeah, that's really nice - I think you should get one!" I didn't bring up her previous feelings, and spent the next six months figuring out exactly what I wanted, then got a Chicago Cubs logo on my left calf. Funny thing is that a couple years later, she decided to get a tattoo as well, and now we both are talking about getting another! Ha!
  6. First off, as been noted, the games are on in Grand Forks (Ch. 2.3) Here's how an antenna works (not a ton different from the old way). Plug the antenna in to the back of your TV (or to the back of your satellite box). Go to your TV (or satelite) menu and there should be an option to scan for local channels. Much like with analog TV, you may need to adjust the antenna for the best signal, but it should pull in all the PTV options (not just 2.3, but 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, etc. - Here in Bemidji, I get 6 sub-channels of Lakeland PTV). That's pretty much it.
  7. Here's where everyone in the state of ND or MN can find the Minnesota Channel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota_Channel Bismarck is KBME 3.3
  8. Hey all, moose97 from USCHO if you're over there too. We have a radio show, used to be The Hockey Show, and we re-named it College Hockey Tonight for this season. We'll be broadcasting live Friday from 4-6 p.m. at the Green Mill attached to the Hampton Inn near the BREC. Stop by and say hi if you're gonna be in Bemidji! Just to be clear, Lakeland is only avaibable on DirecTV/Dish in Minnesota, and only in certain areas. I'm guessing that Colorado Springs has Rocky Mountain PBS on their satelite services. I do understand that they plan to put these games on te b2network, however.
