That "tie to the worst team in college hockey history" could end up costing us the league title, but nah....no reason to be upset about it last week.

I like everything I see here EXCEPT I see UND getting at least 3 points on the road. This puts UND in second by themselves.
I just can't see MN not sweeping the Beavers. Not only will they sweep them, they'll light them up each night. I'd say 4-1 and 5-1. That's what good teams do against horrible ones.
Bemidji is BAD. Which is why it was so frustrating (for some) that we TIED them at HOME. But what is done is done. Let's see what we can do vs the Mavs.
SCSU and MN share the cup and we finish 3rd is my guess, but they play the games for a reason. So we'll see.

Is reading comprehension not your thing? That's not what I got from his post at all. Obviously a lot of fans are going to consider "NCAA Championships" the ULTIMATE prize and ULTIMATE success. So because of that, those same fans can't still enjoy the smaller ones? He's right...stop acting so "high and mighty", step down from the high horse that you're too foolish to know you are on and accept other people's opinions for what they are. "OPINIONS". No need to mock people for them the way you did.So regular season and conference tournament championships aren't considered success to you then? You must just cringe when you see the banners for those hanging from the rafters or walls of the REA. The nerve of UND celebrating and glorifying things that some fans don't deem as success. If you think that acknowledging those as accomplishments is acting "high and mighty" than I don't know what to tell you.

Didn't you guys know, when your a great, historic, and known for extreme talent hockey team, your not suppose to lose any game? I can't wait for that undefeated season so these "real fans" can be satisfied.......
Man I wish this nationally 6th ranked team and 2nd ranked conference team didn't suck so bad!!

Who cares how we are ranked in the regular season? You be proud of that this offseason while the team probably CHOKES another postseason away. At least you'll still have something to hang your hat on.
I forgot it's a crime on SS to have expectations. We need to be "ok" with being UND and letting our ancient past speak for itself. Don't let the fact that we have choked numerous opportunities away the last decade. Nahhhhh....that'd be something a "non-fan" would do.
"UND..home of high expectations with mediocre results! But, but, but, we are ranked 6th in March!" Sorry, but that's not the hockey program I grew up watching, or the schools mantra when I was a student there.

Plenty of cold Friday and Saturday nights to ice fish. Although you'll get disappointed if you don't catch anything every time you put your line in.

Agreed. Of course you're never going to get through to most of these blind sheep on here. They are the same people who didn't lose a wink of sleep when we lost in 04,07,or 11. When we lost to Michigan in our last FF, it was because they had such a "hot goalie". Nevermind the fact that Duluth went on to light up that "hot goalie" like a Xmas tree the next game.I think they'll win one game in the NCAA's and lose on a poor effort. I had real high hopes at the start of the season but this team comes to play very infrequently. They can hang with any team in the country....but they could always lose to any team in the country too. Watch, next weekend BSU won't come within 3 goals either night to the Goofs....at home. We had a chance to win the Cup and now it's almost 0% as MN will sweep BSU (bad). It's lapses like the Sioux have that will cost them a Nat'l title. They have the talent to win one....but no way they will. Not sure what the problem is....their loaded with talent.
It's hliarious how people that have expectations and get pissed when we don't live up to them or choke games away the way this squad so consistently does (how we give up a multiple goal lead against MN in the 3rd and people STILL weren't pissed off on here is still BEYOND me) get bashed the way they do. We haven't won a title in 13 years...and we're "supposed" to be one of the best programs in the country.
Ohh Ohh Ohh but we've BEEN close at least! Look at programs like Alaska Anchorage..or Tech...they'd LOVE to trade places with us! Nevermind the fact that the Gophers have 2 titles, Duluth and Wisco have one, BC has how many, etc, etc since we have. We need to focus on the WORST teams in the country and just be happy that we aren't them!
Teams under this regime choke in the big spot when something worthwhile is on the line. But the blind homers will give you a million reasons of why they lost and why it's justified that they did.

Get greedy? He has been part of the Sioux coaching staff since 2000 and Head Coach since 2004 and makes close to $500,000.00 a year and the fans expecting a National Championship, even just one, during his tenure is greedy? I disagree.
Shhhhhhh! No talk like that around here bro. It doesn't matter that he's the head coach of so many teams that have had the most talent and CHOKED every year.
We should just be THRILLED that we aren't Mankato. And be THRILLED that we are "competitive" every year. I mean there are a lot of teams that wish they could be as relevant as UND is!
THAT is how we measure success at UND. By how many crap programs like Mankato and Anchorage wish they could be like us. NOT by National Championships, I mean...what does those count for? I'd rather settle for playing in all of the frozen fours that our team has played in. Certain posters act like they'd rather not be in the Frozen Four than to get there so many times in a decade and just CHOKE in the spotlight like UND has so often. Not me, I'd rather get there and CHOKE.
So many UND fans are so "greedy". I mean come on, this program JUST won a title 13 years ago for god sakes! Have some patience, would ya?!

Blah Blah Blah. You guys that are content with just "being there" are the same people who want every single kid to get a trophy in sports. There are WINNERS and there are LOSERS, no matter how much you hippes want to give everyone a trophy, cookie, and a "atta boy" just for TRYING.
Hakstol, has done NOTHING that special since he's been here. His first few years he had Blais's teams that I COULD HAVE COACHED to the playoffs and FF. Bochenski, Parise, Toews, Oshie, Duncan, on and on and on and on.
He had SUPERIOR TALENT and at the end of the day came home with as many Championships (what programs like UND are judged by except by you liberal "happy to be there" clowns) as Michigan Tech and Alaska Anchorage have in the last decade.
Give me a NATIONAL TITLE and 11 bad seasons any day of the week over "Making the playoffs" and CHOKING every single damn year.
Although, that's so HARSH, especially for you "rah rah rah, never say anything negative about our Sioux, rah rah rah" fans.

There is more to a university than athletics, you still don't get it. I singled you and DaveK out because you are the 2 most idiotic "Sioux" fans, yet both of you lose all credibility about how passionate you are by not being an alumnus. Not looking to gouge the crap out of people for this series. I still can't believe people are asking 200 bucks a ticket for upper level seats. Who pays that?
Anyways, I have 2 tickets in section 106 for sale. They are located on the end the Sioux shoot twice at and have a great view of the ice.

Everyone here likes to rip on the Gophers like we've done something that they haven't. Last time I checked they've won it TWICE in the last decade compared to ZILCH for our Sioux.
Oh wait though...we've went to the FF a lot and CHOKED each time we have. Yeah that's something to hang our hat on over the Gophers!!
Just "making" the tournament or FF is not a win for most fans. You clowns who like to cling to moral victories can have the measley McNaughtons and Broadmoors. Some of us expect NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS from this program, and unfortunately the regime since Hakstol has taken over has failed to deliver anything but heimlich manuevers every April.
And then there are the genius's saying, "people are really wanting to fire Hak after 1 game?", yeah that's it....nothing to do with the last decade of CHOKING against Hockey East and CHOKING in the big spots. Nah, that's not it at all, we just want him fired for losing in the first week of the year.

The Ralph better be full and rocking tonight for the BC game - I'm astonished at the pathetic turnout on Friday. Worst crowd in 6 years for a Sioux game! C'mon people, it's hockey season, most of us have been waiting all summer for this. Had I known it was that easy to get tickets I would've made the trip up from Kansas City.
Maybe people are getting sick of going to watch a team that just chokes every spring anyways?

Yeah I guess I see your point. In a game where we outshot them in such a lopsided way, took no penalties, and were definitely the FAVORED team, I wouldn't call that a choke either.
Rather, we just ran into a "hot goalie". You know, the same ol same ol excuse that so many Sioux fans use when we BLOW IT.

After the latest annual letdown, I've never been so unanxious for the season to start. Anyone else feel this way? Maybe another month will do it, but I'm still sick to my stomach after we choked away yet ANOTHER chance at #8.

Looks like most folks agree with what I did and you not so much. Money can't buy happiness but I made 2 Sioux fans very happy with my generosity and I feel good about that.
