do you think Notre Dame would give up their TV deal for the betterment of a league? No!
Sorry folks, but the TV contracts (and teams with greatest coverage) will win at the end of the day!
The only reason Notre Dame hockey has games on NBC is because NBC sold their soul to the devil to cover Notre Dame football. To get exclusive rights to the football games NBC had to agree to broadcast other sports.

I supposed they get the leftovers once Alabama, and Auburn get their pick of the litter.
In that part of the country I would expect the leftovers to still be pretty good.

They are FBS?? I didn't know that. Oh well.
They are FBS, but only became full FBS members this year. Also, the school only started sponsoring football in 2009 and they were 2-11 last year.

As much as I love the idea of a new football stadium (the see through glass roof would be sick), I think the next facility after the IPF should be a new basketball arena. Phil Jackson Arena has a nice ring to it, don't you think? Although I'm not a huge B-ball fan, it is the sport with the most potential to get UND big time national recognition. A new Basketball arena coupled with the IPF would bring us in a whole new caliber of men and women basketball players and increase the odds of us being at the Big Dance year in and year out!

Wow - I sure wish the recruits were in town today. I just checked Yahoo Weather and it indicates it is 48 up there right now - is that correct? Unfortunately, the forecast for Saturday is a high of 3 and low of -13 combined with the potential blizzard conditions. Not good in two ways. If a kid can't make it this weekend, he probably won't visit due to other scheduled trips. Secondly - you don't want prospects from warmer climates to think the GF weather is like that all the time during the winter. I know we have lost some good recruits in the past due to lousy weather during their visits.
Today is one of the most beautiful January days I have ever seen.
