  1. I think we need to make sure the TE have their own coach. It was almost a throw away position the last few years. TE can be the most dangerous player on the offense if used properly. We need to develop that position into a strength for easy 3rd down conversions and red zone TDs. They can do more than block.

    I agree completely

  2. The tractors you are referring to are probably worth more than your house....thats like getting a "Start your Beamer" chant going....

If you want to stay in the same price range "start your Bugatti" would probably be closer. Although if I had one I probably wouldn't mind starting it.

  3. More from Mama Sue,

Being new to GF and UND 20 years ago, I was so, so very impressed. I told everyone I could how wonderful UND was and the whole extended community. I have some professional contact with Native Americans and I really promoted UND.

For two years I have read these posts and I am appalled by the behavior. You need to know that this is really the lowest common denominator of behgavior for UND, the players, fans, alumni, and community in general. A "Fire Muss" sign? Then a joke? Really. Hats off to those of you who had the anatomy to stand up to this. Do you think this is what a quality program does?

I look over these coaches and see young man and young families. How many of your wives would play single mother for weeks of more than 40 hours and then being gone recruiting? And then the public scorning? Hats off to the full coaching staff for sticking out the season and even trying to win a game? Add in some players who are, at best???, not mature/committed. Fun and games!

The AD did what he had to do. His job was to get the HC through the season. Then make decisions. Have any or you EVER had to fire someone? Do you know how difficult that is? My God, I watched some of the post game shows and my heart went out to the guy.

At any point, someone in the eye of the public gets put under a microscope. You can't do anything right. It is a vicious cyclone that you can not get out of and it gets worse. It happens to superintendents, hospital administrators, ministers, elected officials, and others. This is a bad situation and the people in it do not need to be told. The sharks cuircle without encouragement.

I would hope in the future soeone can stand up to just plain inappropriate behavior and focus on doing something positive for the program These palyers and fans seem to be along way from what made UND football great. It is not all just the coaching.

The coaches are paid to put a team on the field that can compete and promote the school. They are not volunteers that are doing this out of the kindness of their hearts, they are paid. The way this team was performing a coaching change had to be made, however, I do feel bad that people had to get fired.

I purchase season tickets and a champions club membership. I view these two purchases as an investment that will put a team on the field that is competitive, fun to watch, and will hopefully lead to the players not only receiving a great education from a wonderful school, but also make great memories that will last a lifetime. The way I saw it my investment was not worth my money and a smart investor will change up his game plan if an investment is not paying off. Firing the coaches is the change up we needed.

Losing sucks, plain and simple. Do you think the players are having fun out there? They chose to come to this university to play football, most of them moving far away from family and friends. Playing on a losing team that is consistently being blown out causes fights in locker rooms and overall disappointment.

College is supposed to be one of the best times in your life and I can guarantee these kids are having a horrible college experience.

  4. Has anyone seen any of these ND recruits play or at least know how good they are?

Eric Bachmeier, 6'3”, 180, Kindred (Kindred), ND

Austin Cieslak, 6'3”, 250, Hazen (Hazen), ND

Dylan Beck, 285, Lakota (Lakota), ND

Heard the announcers say during the ND 9-man championship game today that UND has talked to Cavalier's QB/S Ryan Chrest. He ran for 377 yards and 4 TDs. He had 2 int on D. Kid is definitely an athlete. His brother was a PWO at NDSU in 2011377

  5. True that, I guess I should have narrowed my question down a bit.

I just read the forum and got the jist of it, and saw the 6600 attendance...pretty ugly, I bet a lot of them were disguised as empty seats. I can't imagine that even the biggest Mussman defenders haven't got a foot off the bandwagon after that game, and if the next two weeks get out of hand it has to be the end...right?

My two seats were empty so we can subtract that.
