True story, I was a freshman in high school the year of the Epping-Hillsboro game. Our english teacher was from Hillsboro. Monday after tournament bonus question on english test, "Who is the best Class B basketball team in North Dakota?" Everyone in the class answered Epping.(Except the teachers pet) We all got it wrong. A student uprising ensued!

Katie's alright,love the Margie Gunderson accent. Seriously though, she does seem to know her hockey. I think Midco needs to improve the game atmosphere of their broadcast. Get rid of the Midco screen in the background when ever Hammer an Scott are yammering on camera and have the rink in the background, ala Sweeney and Scanny. It looks like they're back at the studio. Show the National Anthem. (Maybe they don't want....the home of the SIOUX!). Definitely can the cheesy fake rock band. I think most people watching have been to the Ralph and would appreciate capturing a little of the excitement of "being there" other than just the play. A little buildup before the puck drops.

Tim Henessy applied for the job,nuff said.I have said that hammer is nothing but a high school play by play guy for years. This is a prime case of it is not who you are, but who you know. There are much better play by play announcers available, they just didn't look.

I didn't mean for this to be a Midco sucks thread.(although they kinda do) Midco is what we have so we have to deal with it. They could learn alot from NBC. Get rid of the Midco backscreen with Hammer and Scott (refuse to say KOBBER) standing in front and show the glorious Ralph in the background during breaks. Improve the sound so we can hear the crowd and the band better,again, ATMOSPHERE .IF they get HD and IF they improve the game atmosphere it will get better.
Having NBC nationally televise college hockey on a regular basis may be alot to hope for with the NHL back,talk is cheap it takes money to buy whiskey.

Just watched BU v. Harvard on NBC Sports.Wow,just wow. Harvard beat BU 6-5 in OT after being down 5-3. But the wow is for NBC Sports. This was NHL production quality with college hockey atmosphere.They mic'd the ice,they mic'd the crowd,they mic'd the band. It sounded like a Final 4 basketball game with the band loud and clear at every break,you could hear the sticks and puck and crowd moan and cheer with every play.ATMOSPHERE! I hope Midco and Dan Hammer were watching.Doc Emerick gave major props to college hockey, He is the consummate professional. If somehow the powers that be could get NBC to do a college hockey game of the week it would do more to promote the game than anything.

Buy a hdmi cable,attach one end to your laptop,other end to your big a** TV. Set your big a** TV to PC,enjoy blurryfigures (and giant tiger heads) lagging across a big a** screen. If your lucky,radio will be in sync with video and you can listen to TH instead of crappy local announcers.

BWAHAHAHA!My first year at the Final Five (this year will be my 5th), I sat in Club, right in front of the SRO rail, where incredibly drunk and obnoxious UMD fans sat. So you can find those drunk and obnoxious fans in any fanbase. Needless to say, it's been lower level ever since. Haven't dealt too much with Gopher fans because they were only there 2 years I went and both times they lost their first game
