Holy crap, anyone making excuses for this meatball needs their head red. First off, friendly jabbing at each others team happens all the time without incident. This Chwialkowski took it to a new level striking a guy who was non-violently sticking up for his brother on crutches. We've all felt the urge to give it to someone yet refrained because we are not retarted. Secondly, the only account of the incident has come from Jasons father because nothing good can come from the Chwialkowski camp. He F*(Ked up bad here and everyone knows it. What can be said? Lastly, this meatball has to be punished to the full extent otherwise this crap will continue to occur. Why has it become the norm to read about an incident like this in Grand Forks over the last few years? Seriously, put this guy away for a while. Stoa is a punk. Trying that crap when Hexstall was on the ice was definitely BUSH. I would love to see Stoa try that when Hexstall isnt sitting on his @ss. Stoa's probably never dropped the mits in his life.

For the second time, Canadians do not hate Americans. I think Vegas1 might have went a little overboard with his sense of entitlement comment but your 'proving your merit' comment is way off as well. Take a look around the world, the United Stated is one of few established countries without national healthcare. What the heck does that have to do with hockey anyway? Most of the NHL teams are in the US because there simply are not enough markets in Canada to support teams. In the next ten years, three of your American franchises will be relocating north of the border because Gary Bettman made the mistake of placing these teams in Atlanta, Phoenix, and Nashville. Hopefully we will have a team a couple hours away in Winnipeg again if this occurs. Someone was absolutely correct when they stated that 90% of America does not care about hockey. I would love for one of the 90% to find me a sport that combines more athleticism with toughness on the planet. Thank god for the 10% of you that keeps this great game going down here. But before I go padding you all on the back, you should get over yourselves and realize that this is one sport that you do not dominate. Take the 'non' support from your neighbors to the north as a compliment and use it as motivation. More then half the players on the Sioux including their coaching staff are Canadian are they not?

The Canadian Junior team found a way to win. That is all that matters in a tournament like this. If they bring the same effort that they had against the U.S. and towards the end of the game against Russia, they will dominate the Swedes. The matchup to watch for is between the top two NHL prospects. The Canadian fans have been unreal too by the way. 21,000 strong with a ton of passion for junior hockey is what this sport is all about.
