Why does it look like Sioux fans are cheering for every little thing against BC? I thought they would be an easier opponent and would rather play them, though I dislike them more. If I was there I would probably just watch and not really care either way unless some BC fans upset me.

Just saw some Sioux walk by to Tom Reid's. McGoverns upstairs lots of room and we have sound for Sioux once Wild win!

Already called McGoverns and they will be expecting us Sioux fans at 5:00 between games. They will have it on the televisions with sound in the upstairs.

Let's pack McGovern's tomorrow with green those who are in still for the West. I already called and made sure they would put on our game with sound when the place clears out and people go to watch the second game since ours against Michigan will start at 5:00.

Hey just go and watch hockey like we are and hang out at McGoverns because there will be many of us there watching us on Saturday after we win Friday. Go to whatever we are able to watch across the street and wear our green!

I would think on a Friday at that time shouldn't be a problem to get it on the television with sound throughout unless there is bouncy ball going on.

Yep saw this. The NCAA messes with us some more and changes things around from where times were scheduled in past years having the West and Midwest not overlap possibly because they considered fans might have tickets and have more interest in these games. We are still going and will watch our game (assuming we get past Friday) in between and then back to the X to watch the remainder of the second game. Though we have only one ticket for both sets of games, somebody told me they do scan out for readmission or can just go out/in the smoking door. Bloomington Sensers Friday at 1:00!!!

To be the best you need to beat the best, so why not just put us and St. Cloud in St. Paul and who cares at what point you play a higher ranked team? We can beat those Clowns anyway and then all fans that want to attend are able to and support their team in person.

Okay all locals, don't go selling tickets to the West just yet!!! I looked at dates/times and we won't miss watching UND on television Friday if we are in the Midwest and Saturday we can still paint the place green for both games as the MW final isn't until 8:00 Saturday night. We can leave the X early and go pack McGovern's watching the Sioux with our own crazy party that night to send us to the frozen four! All hope is not lost as this team will regroup and make a run at #8! Youth is on our side!!!

Wouldn't they be smart to put UND in the West knowing that now the gophers are out ND fans would pack the X and SCSU fans wouldn't in the same way? I don't get why it makes a difference whether Cloud or us have to travel to Cincy when the attendance would be better with us in the West if they are really concerned about numbers. That is the only problem with our fans traveling so well they might just expect that.

Still holding out hope after doing the pairwise predictor that if we win the 3rd place and Cloud loses we could still be in the west. Oh and it would help if Michigan can beat MN. At least if we are in the MW we can still watch our semifinal game Friday and then get together Saturday night to watch us punch a ticket to the frozen four. Trying to stay positive through this messed up way the NCAA screws with us all if you aren't a host team.

Either way whether our team is there or not, we are planning to get together at either McGoverns or Tom Reids to watch us play if we are in another regional and then still go to the games at the X. If you are going to travel wherever they are sent, that is a different story. We need to start discussing a location to hang out to watch our game in case that happens for us St. Paul area people. Maybe we could get McGoverns to setup our own personal tent and big screen!

Assuming us and St. Cloud make it past our first rounds, I like our side of the bracket not playing Denver like they have to earlier on. This should keep us higher than the.

Thinking about what it could be and scooping up tickets before the gopher fans do is worth it IMO, especially when the price isn't that outrageous with this deal. Would love to stick it to the NCAA and show them that our logos aren't going away no matter what regional we are everywhere. Not that I am not able to move on and deal with a new logo, the Sioux is just what I know and remember so I will always hang on to it.

So, I live in the Twin Cities and was on the fence like many of you just like Schloss's blog. We decided to go for it and will have a final five reunion of sorts getting our crew back together a few rows up behind the benches. Whether we are there or not, we will sport our green with flags and all. We went with a promotion that was mailed to me by Ticketmaster that if you used the code TMHOCKEY, you could buy semifinal but not the package and was a 25% deal so buy three seats get one free. It turned out to be only $40.50 for both games on March 26th. Then our thinking is to watch all of the other games at the bar especially the Sioux if they are in a different regional and have a grand ole time going to whatever games we choose at the X. If we are there and win Sat., just buy tickets for the Easter night game from somebody who is dumping theirs because they lost. Just wanted to throw this idea out there for others who might be debating back and forth. Could be a great first round matchup and if not just watch the game on television with a big group unless you are planning on traveling wherever the team is sent. We didn't want to wait and see if they would be in because we wanted good seats as we used to have back when the final five and good times were around and then the BIG10 took our packages and fun away.

Who is to stop anybody from marketing or making up another logo like the one floating around out there for everybody to wear? Sure it might not be the same as what the team would wear, but couldn't we do our own thing in defiance to backfire their glorious plan? Don't get me wrong because either way I plan to wear my many Sioux jerseys anyway still for the rest of my life and wouldn't even need to buy a new one. Hopefully game worn jerseys won't be such a hot commodity anymore, but who would lose out on that extra cost though? The only other issue is that it seems as things move on and more people come to the University everything changes anyway because I have seen huge, huge changes as to what the norm is during games, etc. since the old Ralph was around.

Of course somebody needs to make the comment about not looking ahead too early, but how can you not? What if Sandy and UMD had made it in there as well and 3 of 4 coaches had UND ties? Crazy stuff.....

Is there any outside chance that Mark Mac plays??? Was he walking around okay on the ice and what is the recovery with how bad his break really was with the type of surgery?
Tickets of course will be tough now that one of the Boston teams is in, whoever out there already has tickets and will be in attendance, please keep the Sioux exposure and pride at it's best!!!
