i was thinkin on trying to find a gold/rust(whatever the heck the DU colors are) jersey to go against team POI. Seemed like it worked in denver.

Just a slight news flash. Most gopher fans don't consider the sioux/gopher matchup as a huge rivalry (since the main rivalry there is with the badgers). I would say #2 though. Most teams in the wcha by default have the gophers as their #1 rivalry. NDSU football already took down the chances for a hockey program with their political pull in the dome situation making the dome unavailable for hockey. The original design and intention was to allow for hockey. So the story/rumor goes. If they got hockey then the school wouldn't be in any rush to go D1 (like UND is right now). Good teams and good playoff matchups is what builds rivalries. Thus, if by some chance, NDSU had a hockey team, it would take years. NDSU would be forced to play the caliber of teams like bemidji and AA (oh wait, the sioux tied AA this year) A little blurb on football. I had a great time tailgating at alerus this year. All i care about is the tailgating, beer, and some good football with a bison win. UND will go D1. They have to. I can't imagine watching my team playing teams like UMD and Mankato all year long. Hope you sioux fans enjoy that. It is the loss for both schools and cities that we are not in the same div.

Thanks for the compliments. Last year was sure a workout. I played in another game right after that and it was pretty high tempo (mostly former D3 guys) and had a lot of shots there. Afterwards i had a migraine and puked my guts out. But it's all good for a good day of hockey. The POI will get a slightly new look from me this year in a couple ways. You guys will like it and hopefully all will be forgiven since i am a bison. Anyone find me any eligibility yet? (brandt / parise look alright this year..they got a chance) Like mksioux said, I should be available to play.

I had a great time. The POI'ers certainly threw some rubber my way. I was actually kind of expecting to be busy but not that bad. I wanted to keep the shutout going longer. I was pissed off on the first goal. But...hey...had to be nice to our POI hosts and let them have one. One of my dreams was to play college or above hockey. It never panned out. I'd love to entertain an idea if I still had eligibility but I doubt I have any with my age and having graduated already. But enjoy watching and playing when I can. That's what counts. If I'm not living in Australia I am definately game for any rematch if you want. My email that I have now should be live even if I move. Also...hopefully we can have a Sioux/Gopher regional final. That would be awesome.

Yes, I am the goalie for the Sioux Team. Wow Stats...Can we expect the gopher team to bring cheerleaders too?? Please....I need distraction...

Yes I am planning on going to the game. I am in. You got a goalie. And yes as a goalie I plan on wearing a helmet.

If mksioux goes I will go to (he can give me a ride). I can bring both my forward gear and goalie gear too if he has room. Then if someone forgets something or we are short people/goalie I can step in. I doubt I have anything pressing to do on a sunday afternoon.

I am able to play goal if the guy you have can't make it. (I am mksioux's friend).
