  1. not sure. that game doesnt start for an hour and 20 minutes. its your conection probably

oh I'm watching the Devs/Rangers game right now of of channelsurfing.net and that's what it keeps doing.... Thanks though!

  2. Wish I could make it to this game, but it's my parents' anniversary this weekend so I agreed to babysit my brother all weekend. Should be a fun series!

I think I'm gonna say split. Sioux win Friday, Huskies win Saturday. Hope I'm wrong though and we can get a stick salute at home finally!

  3. Welcome to SS. I hope you enjoy your time in Grand Forks. I agree with what everyone's been saying. Red Pepper and Italian Moon are awesome awesome!! Suite 49 is fun before and after games and across from the Ralph, get a fishbowl if you go there, they're huge and very good. Downtown is fun if you like to be around lots of annoying, obnoxious drunk people (Joe Black's, O'Reallys, Gilly's, Level 10, Rhombous Guys, and Sledsters, among others, are good places to go). Find a UND student (or a few of them) and make friends with them. Make sure they're drinking age, and they'll be the best bet to having a good time around the city.

Sorry you won't get to see Finley play. We've been hearing rumors he may be out for the season, but I hope that's not the case.

We drove through Kansas City on the way back from St Louis a couple of Frozen Fours back, and we got VERY lost. Just so you know haha

  4. So, went to the Fargo/Des Moines game tonight. I hate to admit that I wasn't paying much attention (row of cute guys behind me, insert blush) but from what I did see:

Both teams kind of sucked and it was kind of a boring game. I saw White's goal, and Bruneteau's assist, but missed the other White goal and Gleason's assist. Gleason did seem to be out on the ice for most of the game, but wasn't doing a whole lot other than skating around and touching the puck every once in a while. Bruneteau was very active on the ice, all over the place, doing what he could. White seemed pretty good, too, from what I saw. Crandall, the Des Moines goalie, was really good especially in the 3rd.

    Just my 2 cents.

  5. Maybe the team should practice more instead of video taping "TV shows" during the week.

Yeah! They should also be practicing hockey, not soccer, before games!

The away team locker room is right by the bathrooms in the DECC downstairs. I went down there before the game, and the guys were all playing soccer. I didn't really understand that.

  6. Won't be in Duluth, but will be in Fargo over the weekend.

Wondering about a good bar with many Sioux fans in Fargo?

I know the Buffalo Wild Wings by the airport gets the games, but last time I was there for a game (last year) it seemed like I was the only Sioux fan there. I had to practically argue with them to keep the game on when Ultimate Fighting came on. Anything better in Fargo?

I've gone to the Northside BDubbs for Sioux hockey games too, and it really does kind of suck! That's because it's right by NDSU. Sorry I can't help you out on that, but if I hear of anything, I'll be sure to post something.

  7. Who exactly is it that pays the bills? I don't think it's the students.

Students don't pay bills?? Really, what planet are you living on?? Were you ever a college student??

It is 2008, almost 2009. College tuition prices are going up 15% a year. It doesn't matter if you're a state resident or out-of-state, as a student they are paying a lot of money for a lot of things. Tuition, room and board (or rent on a house/apt), books (which can cost some students up to $900 a semester), a computer and/or a laptop, food (yeah I know, everyone pays for food), furniture for their place of living, among all the miscellaneous things that college students love to have.

The way I see it, the students should have a lot of say in what goes on at Sioux hockey games seeing that they are paying a lot of money to be in college and helping to pay off the costs of the Ralph. But, they don't really have any say in what goes on, and they have almost 20% of the seats in the arena. Students should have somewhat of a say in what goes on in the arena, at least at Sioux hockey games.

OK, go ahead and jump all over that post. I love seeing all the crap people say on this site

  8. Not to cut down on anyone and sorry if this was mentioned, but what happened to the drummer for the UND band? There was a female for these particular games and they hardly ever started the 'lets go sioux' chant using the drum.

The regular drummer was out of town for a conference over the weekend. I was confused too until I texted him to ask where he was

  9. Every game should be a green out without even being planned or promoted. That is our color.

Green doesn't work. All the seats are green. Everyone in the crowd would blend in with the seats, and that's kinda the opposite of what we want right?

  10. What is everyone's thoughts and/or suggestions on another Green And White Weekend against the Gophers? Hopefully some good ones :(

(Unofficial announcement of Green And White Weekend being held January 9th and 10th at the Ralph)
