Theres also been a lot of blocked and missed shots so I wonder how high their attempted is gonna be at the end of this game.

Haven't the Badgers been getting a ton of shots against everyone this year? They have 31 right now halfway thru the second.

Thoughts
Denver vs. AA - Well I watched both of these teams the past 2 weekends and for me to predict anything other than a sweep would be impossible. DU is solid no matter who is in goal, and AA proved that they are once again no better than 8th or 9th in the league this year.
UMD vs. CC - I think CC comes out strong at home, but UMD rebounds on Saturday. I think both of these teams will be real good this year, but I was very close to predicting a CC sweep or a 3 point weekend. I'm still not a believer in UMD but they sure have been solid thus far.
Minnesota vs. Wisconsin - Homer picks but I honestly do think we sweep Wisconsin. I know it was only AA, but I think our guys got a serious confidence boost by getting that much needed sweep. The rivalry is huge and it very well could be a split. This weekend proves a ton for the Gophers. If we come out flat, then all we saw was a horrible UAA team made even worse by playing on the road. If the Gophers end up winning twice and putting up some serious goals, we very well could be on track. Also, Kangas is BACK. Great year for him so far.
UND vs. MTU - I think this kind of team might give UND some trouble just like UAA did by being physical and boring, but UND is just far too talented to lose a game to MTU. I know in the past they have given the Sioux some trouble but I just can't see it happening this year. Guessing Dell maybe gets a start? That's the only night I could see them losing. I understand he was phenomenal in the one game he played, but it's just too hard to predict his future based off of one game.

Nice try though.....and I think you hear M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A a lot less at a Gopher game than you do F the Gopher at a Sioux/Gopher games....and it actually has a purpose. And the whole crowd participates. Nice try though.

Guests of honor
Get ready to hunt down tickets and trek down Highway 2 a couple times next season. UND is tentatively scheduled to open both the Bemidji Regional Events Center and the new Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center next season.
The game at Bemidji will be Oct. 15, while the Duluth game is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 30. Plans are in the works to make the Duluth game the Hall of Fame game, too. It's a great place for a HoF game since Duluth is the closest D-I program to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth.
UND has strong ties to both programs.
The Beavers requested to the WCHA that UND be its first opponent in the new building. It also will mark Bemidji State's first series as a member of the WCHA -- a journey and process that UND supported.

I mean obviously the university has to send out an email like that, but it's not like it's a big deal.
Let's be real here....most of the students who go to these games are only programmed to hate the Gophers. They don't know much about the Sioux team, they just know to hate the Gophers. A weird type of obsession.
Some gems I heard sitting in the section:

But seriously, F The Gophers, although funny the first time or two, gets a little boring after a while. It's hard to not laugh at a group who is so uncreative that they can't think of anything better than that.

I'd say your best bets would be Sallys or Stub and Herbs....both right in Stadium village on Washington Ave, a short 5 minute walk from Mariucci. Library is a fun time, and so is Blarneys but those are both in Dinkytown and it's mostly college-aged people.
