It's getting close so its time to start talking about the World Junior tourney. How cool will it be to see the #1 and 2 picks in last years NHL draft (the 2 Russians) and see Sidney Crosby and the Loaded team Canada. Best of all go out and support the home team and finally getting to chant in person: USA USA USA,
rootin for Drew and the rest of USA. Will Zajac get picked by Canada, that would be great. A couple questions, When the Sioux play USA and score, do we give Montoya the Sieve chant. After all he does play for Michigan, but yet team USA. Speaking of goalies they should add Lammy, he would be as good as any of the other backups. I hope when they announce Drew Stafford no one says "Whos he, he sucks" he will only play vs. UND 1 time and Only Duluth fans would do that to their home team. Cant wait, Im pulling for USA, but if they dont do it, I hope Canada does. The Russians and Finns are suppose to be good, but if its not us, I will pull for our neighbors to the north.

Zajac was not invited to the latest Canadian camp according to reports that I read on Hockeys Future.

David Lundbohm played for Lowell last night. No points and 6 penalty minutes.

People will have to help me out, I don't remember everything.
-The White team won 5 or 6 to 0.
-Rylan Kaip scored. McMahon went into the net a got the puck for him.
-Kaip skated with McMahon and Prpich quite a bit.
-Zajac and Stafford were kept together most of the night, and both looked good.
-Murray, Spirko and Porter were kept together most of the night.
-Foyt had the only penalty. It was called by the other ref, who I didn't catch his name.
-Radke still looked a little out of place.
I will try to remember more, but I'm sure others will help. (schmidtdoggydog, jloos, driscol)

Massen also scored a goal or two. He played with Zajac and Stafford most of the scrimmage.
Lee Marvin looked to solidified a spot on the 4th line also.

I'm pretty sure Driscol made death threats to the Ludwigs so they don't return to ND.
Sorry for the inside joke.
good times...

It appears siouxrock is back...here we go again.

Hofer among others want to leave after Loos, Halstenson, and possibly Oakland are bolting. I can't blame them, but come on, North was terrible the last few years, they do not have that many kids that can play at that caliber. Hofer is a nice kid, I know the family well, but he is not that good of a hockey player. He scored maybe 5 or 6 goals last season, probably ended up with 10-15 points. Remember Jacques Lamourioux struggled with Bismarck last year despite being a fairly large kid and scoring at least 40-50 points in HS the year before.
I know the HS stuff irritates some on the board but it appears most of the kids that were messing around on here are gone. Last year the elite tourny was discussed a lot, as many Sioux recruits play in it, plus they stop at the REA for a weekend. If others still don't like it, say so and I'll move my post to the community board, if I can figure out how to do that.
Driscol, reading HS hockey posts turns you on? Or does watching hot chicks trying on panties annoy you? I'll gladly take your dressing room monitoring shift if you don't want it.
PS what's with dropping DMT off of your last quote? He needs all the credit he can get.
JLoos - I'm sure your signficant other would be pleased to know you've got the itching for dressing room supervisor...DMT on the other hand will get his credit when it's due.
By the way, you were the one that complained in the Admin. board about this same crap about high school hockey and than you create a thread about it...I believe the same one's that messed around last time will be back and than you can take credit for the anger that will come out of DMT and others...

I didn't see the other thread until after I posted this. The teams are tentative, but I don't expect to see many changes. Halstenson will not play if he made the Bobcats, which I'm assuming he did. Oakland was trying out for the Jets, but I don't think they've given him a spot yet. He bowed out of the elite program to play with the Jets but he can still play for North. Kluckey is the alternate listed, but he is a better player than 3/4 of the team. He was out most of last season after getting stepped on by a skate.
Driscol aren't you supposed to be monitoring teenage girls trying on panties.
Reading these posts about high school hockey seems to be about the same thing.

i have been following your conversations about vigen and saw the recent comment
about the great plains team. i have a friend whose son is on the team and vigen
replaced halstenson on the team. the website has just not been updated.
thanks for the update.

Who cares there's more than one thread for Bo.
For Bo I can understand, he actually plays(ed) at UND...this entire thread started over another high school player who might be good, who might play in the USHL, and who might get a scholarship to some team in Michigan...I understand the talk with players that we may be recruiting, but I don't think Vigen is one of them.
-
I think 1 thread is enough for this subject...get with the program jloos.
-
To Minot Magic -I heard 2 of the teams that contacted Vigen were Cedar Rapids and
Waterloo, I know there where 2 others mentioned but I can't remember who they
were and the CCHA school is in Michigan.
To #1siouxfan22-I have to agree with you about Vigen but I definitely think he has
generated some interest out there. I also hear he is on the Great Plains HS Elite team
To alum05-regarding Vigen-why the need for the sarcasm? Do you have something
against the kid?
He's not on the great plains team according to their roster...

Don't be knocking short goaltenders - think Karl Goehring!
Or Jon Casey

If I remember correctly this board is for Sioux sports, not high school sports. The next you thing you know, we'll be discussing Lydell Nickons being up for player of the year in junior high football next year for South Junior High.
