Article - Arizona State writes letter applying for NCHC membership

Arizona State has officially applied to be a member in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.

Arizona State athletic director Ray Anderson wrote a letter to NCHC commissioner Josh Fenton outlining the positives and potential of the second-year program, saying that the school will pay the NCHC's $20,000 application fee by mid-September.

General on-site parking will be available in the lots located on the north and south sides of the arena.  A full tournament parking pass can be purchased for $60 at the REA box office. Single game parking will be available for $5 per vehicle with no re-admittance.

Went out to the airport to welcome the team home. They let us out on the tarmac. Coach Berry quickly dropped off his bags on the bus and then immediately came over and walked down the line of fans shaking hands and thanking everyone that was there. The players followed behind with Caggiula carrying the trophy.

Just left the Sioux Shop. They had several racks of National Championship merchandise (men's, women's, children's) and are expecting new shipments every day this week. Jody Hodgson said pucks should be in Wednesday and more hats on Thursday.

The line to get in the shop stretched thoughout the lobby and many folks inside had armfuls of clothing.
