JLP played very well last night, but like any goalie he is bound to be off his game (i.e. last Sat.) on occasion. What bothers me is we lost a game last Sat. that we shouldn't have, then last night JPL plays well enough to steal one and can't get one goal to at least get a tie more less the win. Potential 3 point swing in the WCHA standings. Now the same scenerio could happen tonight or we could post 3 or 4 and JPL let's in a couple soft ones and we lose. I'm not saying we'll lose tonight, my point is we are not taking advantage of the game to game situtation that present itself from time to time to convert standing points when we have the opportunity to do so. I see a very similar game tonight from last night--JPL will play well, low scoring and another first goal wins it type of game.

But the last time I checked, every W, L or T counts. Are the polls going to matter come mid-week--No. But what they are a reflection of the the soon to be released Pairwise and like it or not, it more than likely is going to be a season of watching that barometer to see whether we are in or out ot the NCAA tourney come season's end. And frankly this team has too much talent for the Pairwise to potentially determine it's NCAA fate. Now if we go on a run and win 12 out of the next 15-16 game that probably won't be an issue, but will that happen for the 4TH year in a row??

But that is like saying there was only one fly in your soup instead of 2 or 3. In any case, it's not good!

That is the pathetic part, we are "early" in the season according to some but that couldn't be more true.

Then this team needs a new playbook because one of these years that "plan" isn't going to work.

I know the mantra is "it is early in the season", but my calender will be Dec. 1 tomorrow. If tomorrow nights game isn't close to a must win this "early" in the year, I don't which one will be. Possibly 2 games below .500 in the WCHA heading back to GF with this talent is not what I think this team or us as fans envisioned.

Tough for JPL to steal one when we can't even piss in the LOW urinal!!

3 pre-season All-Americans, pre-season #1...seems like we are not quite there . The inconsistancy and off and on effort added to stupid plays=1 game below .500 in the conference for goodness sakes

Interesting fact about DU that I saw: Undefeated when allowing 2 or less goals. Have NOT won when allowing 3 or more goals this year. Oshie hat trick tonight, Duncan tomorrow and Sioux sweep!!!

Agree. That is why I think a split would be great. If anyone thinks that we're going to hang 7 or 8 in a game on DU at home, think again. Mannino is not Stalock.

Not suprising. He, along with Miller, have been big dissappointments so far. Both have good talent, but can't bring it during the game. Davidson, at worst, is a lateral move.

He left the game in the 2nd with an injury to his right (throwing) elbow. The announcers summized it was kind of like "pitcher's elbow" and was carry over from a couple weeks ago from when he absolutely torched and shredded the Vikes!!!

Trust me, I know what was "passed" since I deal with this crap all day long as takes time way from my patient care, but it was "Hillarycare" and her initiaves in 1993 that got this ball rolling down hill. And I'm not looking for a political debate on healthcare .

Due to Hillary's great healthcare regs, i.e. HIPPA, not much can be revealed about a player's status. It was mentioned though by the media that "there is no structural damage" to Genoway's lower leg following an MRI prompting me to believe it is some type of bad sprain to the knee (or ankle), especially if the reports are true that he still is having difficulty bearing weight on that leg. Having seen this team play at the Ralph every game this year, he is unfortunatley one of 4 or 5 players UND can ill afford to go down with an injury for an extended period of time.

Kind of like that arcade game at Chucky Cheese where you bang the Gopher on the head as he pops out of his hole with a big mallet??
