This is spot on. Our anesthesiologists have been primarily limited to succinylcholine for intubations since all other paralytics have been needed to make drips for vented patients. I never thought I'd see the day where we used titrating rocuronium continuous infusions, but when you run out of nimbex, vecuronium, and atracurium you don't really have a choice. Precedex is a major shortage item. Propofol is a HUGE shortage item - we've actually had to purchase and/or borrow some from local am surg centers that are closed. These meds all come from national distributors with limited supply. If people are doing elective surgeries in Minn or ND, that would affect our supply in NY.
Thanks for this perspective. When major health providers are losing millions of dollars and laying off people (like Avera), it's easy to forget that the entire country is connected to the same supply chains. By the way, keep posting. I appreciate your view from the front lines, and when your name comes up we know you're doing OK.

August 1 has been the cut off date to start school for a few years now. So some June and many July kids wait.

Is the Cay doing takeout?!?!? Everyone please support the Parrots Cay and Speedway! I don’t know what I would do without some shark wings and a speedway burger during my visits to Grand Forks!
Yes, Parrot's Cay is doing takeout.

I’m not defending Trump, but why aren’t these travelers carrying their own sanitizers, masks gloves and anything else they think they need? Why do you think they all need gloves? Do all healthy people need a mask? If you have traveled in the last month or so, you will see many travelers are wearing masks and have their own hand sanitizer. Why should we have to purchase personal products for those who don’t prepare for travel? I’ve had to wait in long customs lines here and elsewhere when there wasn’t a health crisis. I’m not there, so I’m not sure what the delay is. If we want to check everyone’s temp then are we going to provide cots and pillows cuz the delays will be much longer.
The bottleneck happened because the flights from Europe were funnelled into certain airports. Predictable, really.

Ideally everyone in public should be wearing a mask at this point. This Isnt to protect you but rather everyone around you. The problem is there has been very poor planning by our leaders for months so this isn’t possible.
Correct. The argument against masks is that they wouldn’t protect the wearer from the virus. Which shouldn’t have been the goal. It should’ve been to protect others in the community if all of us were unknowingly carrying it. Now we know and are really behind.

To be clear, this is 100% where I'm coming from. People are going to get sick. There is no way to completely prevent that. I just want them to get sick at a slow enough rate that the healthcare system doesn't collapse under the weight of it.
This!

If you have access, read the article in The Athletic about Wisconsin's drafted guys. Pretty telling.

Wisconsin is a mess.

Not a major, but sure liked the embellishment call against WMU last weekend. That's gotta be embarrassing. May be a deterrent to some of the shenanigans you refer to.

He is really fun to watch. Hope we keep him one more year.

Agreed on the anywhere from two to four. When I'm speculating like I'm doing today (i.e. Miller taking Moore's spot), I'm doing so with my best guess of needing to replace three D-man next year.
Poolman, Peski and ?
