  1. UNH is a good team but Hockey East overall is not very good this year. UNH will lose vanRiemsdyk to the World Jrs. UNH took both games from CC but that was at the Whitermore Center which is a tuff place to play and it was early in the season. It is time for a SIOUX sweep.

BC did not win a game in Nov. until the BU/BC game. Although BC is always there at the end, their hopes are on a freshman goalie (who is currently playing well but....) it's a long season. Don't be surprised if they don't make it to the Frozen Four this year.

Like 31-9 I live in Boston and follow two teams (BU). Jack is a great coach and this year he does not have a dependable goalie. Hopefully Jack suspending four players for team rules will push them to play better in the second half.

    Go Sioux!!!!

  2. Something to keep and "eye" on. Conte Forum does not have A/C. In warm weather the ice begins to fog. Last year BU vs. BC (and I think a hockey game this year) had a "fog out". The tempature is going to be in the 70s on Friday. Hopefully it will be cool enough at night so the ice does not fog.

    GO SIOUX!!!!!!!

I hate it when I am right :)

  4. Is that Mission Hill? I remember that used to be a tough area when i used to live out there.

Yes - Northeastern is on the outskirts. Matthews Arena is on the opposite end. It's safe but I would not wonder to far off the main roads.

  5. Living in Boston we will be at the BC/Northeastern series. Then we make the trip to the REA for the Gopher series and I received confirmation of Frozen Four tickets. Ok bring on October................and April

  6. I love the Sioux but I will have to say I have been very disappointed with the atmosphere in the REA. Because I live in Boston, I follow Hockey East as a season ticket holder to BU. I go to every BU game dressed in SIOUX. Each year I make a pilgrimage to the REA to watch the Sioux play and I have to say each year I get more disappointed. The atmosphere in the Ralph can be at times like be like watching a Chess match with tons of commercials.

When I compare the two, the crowd at the Agganis is twice as loud ( it

  7. I went to the Dartmouth tournament when they first wore the Sweaters and I was really disappointed they changed their sweaters, but when they took the ice everyone in the barn just looked at them with amazement (yes I was one of them too). The confidence, the intimidation, they made a statement

  8. schneieder wasnt that good at all the first half of this year. they have had a simlila run that the sioux have had. bad 1st half then great 2nd half. 2 great teams battling AGAIN...when it has meant the most and loser goes home, they have us 2-1....00 = sioux 01 = eagles 05 = eagles...its our turn!!

BC's Schneider tends to show up for the big games.......just like their fans. The Sioux have to get Schneider off his game and Phil need to be on his.

  9. If anyone knows of any Sioux hockey fan gatherings in the Boston area, the info would be much appreciated. I would rather not have to resort to watching the game with a bunch of BC fans, although it would be fun to rub the victory in their face.

Good Luck! Last year I watch the game at Champions. I was the only one cheering for the Sioux (wearing my Sioux Sweater) the rest of the bar was full BC

  10. BC is a good team, they are quick and they are playing well, but they can be beat. Gerbe is good but he can score goals; but end up in the penality box just as quick. Rooney and Bradford are good players - ones to keep an eye on. The team turned it around when Boyle switched to defense and it made all the difference for Schneider and now he is playing on top of his game. Their last lost was to BU in the Beanpot and BC dominated the play for the whole game. Curry kept them in it and BU won in OT. Bottom line - Phil needs to play great because BC will be at him all night. BC has not played a tight game since Feb. But BC can be beat.

    Go SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
