I caught that remark and had to chuckle. There will always be bad calls. That is human nature. It is suspect when you see them stack up against certain teams by certain refs time after time after time, for years on end. That is no longer: "Oh well, that's hockey". It is something else, and it smells bad. It would be nice to get some fresh refs for the NCHC, but where do you find them? It could end up being a case of "careful what you wish for".

We have to find a way to take Lee out of the game tonight. He is clearly their go-to guy. If we can man up on him and effectively negate his impact on the game, we will likely be OK. I don't think we will be out shot 2:1 tonight. Then again, we can't count on Saunders to save our backside like that all the time..... At any rate,should be a good game tonight! GO SIOUX!!!

Naw, just keeping with the "mysterious theme" for the evening. At least that is what I would tell the opposing coach orrefs if they asked. And WCHA do not typically shake hands after the first match.

Yeah, we would have gotten called on a major, + game if that had been one of ours. Sad it was not at least a 2 minute minor.

Hey, I would complain about CCHA refs, but I can only do that when we clean up our own backyard. Happy for the win! Go Sioux!!!

It is obvious (and not only in this game) that we have to stay out of the penalty box. However, with ouija board officiating, it makes it hard. The refs started out letting them play, and not calling some possible hooking and tripping calls. But then they made a bad call and started backpedaling and the domino effect of poor calls was pretty obvious and pretty dissapointing (I am sure to both sides in this game).

TH does not stand for "Total Homer". But he is (of course) bias. When I listen to a "foreign feed", I completely expect a total homer calling the game. If they are decent, I can live with it. I actually enjoy hearing the homer comments and weighing them against my own bias. What I cannot stand is a total homer who does a piss-poor job of calling the game. Unfortunately, in this day and age that is far too common.
