I spoke too soon. BC goes up 1-0 on the Badgers with a power play goal. About 17 minutes left in the second period.

I didn't see it mentioned, but Oshie got called for slashing with about 6 seconds left in the period. Mavs will start the second period on the power play.

Sometimes the radio feed goes down, too, so it doesn't matter if you have a radio.

I don't know if the Sioux on the power play or not. Sounded as if Genoway rang a shot off the crossbar just before Anderson got hit.

Probably. What I found boring about Minnesota-CC last night was that the Gophers pretty much dominated but couldn't score. The game wasn't really as close as score sounded. CC just isn't the team it's been the past few seasons.

I understand that. Doesn't mean I have to like. Doesn't mean I have to approve of it. And it doesn't stop me from thinking that that aspect of the pro game hurts the game of hockey.

It's a matter of calling penalties based on the score and the time left in the game. The rules should be applied equally, no matter what the situation is. This is an acknowledged problem by the NCAA and the leadership of other leagues.
