How many programs have a better record or average pairwise finish than UND since Berry took over?

There are a few. DU comes to mind. This is how ridiculous this argument has become. Last year sucked, no doubt. It wasn't a lot of fun attending post-game press conference after losses. There were a few of them.

With that said, can you imagine someone calling the AD Chaves and demanding that he fire head coach Brad Berry this is a coach that has a .645 winning percentage, a national title, three back-to back-to-back titles, as well as a playoff title. Mind you there's been down years, however, I think he knows a lot more than we do about hockey. Even though the program is down, there still heads and tails ahead of the vast majority of the 62 teams in the NCAA. Berry has still won more NCAA titles than all of the Big Ten Teams combined and only two teams are ahead of UND, UMD and DU which are in the same power conference. Even if the university fired him. Who the hell is going to replace him? How long before we fire that guy, too?

People wanted to run Hakstol out of town because he had never won a title. Think about that for awhile. Fans of other teams openly mock some of the conversations they read on this message board.

Playing with Moore who isn’t the best defensively  will do that for you , but just keep running the same  lines and getting the same results then next year I guess we need to go to the portal again because we can’t recruit players we want to play.

You do realize that Berry and staff changed the lines this past weekend, right?

So we let the program sink because we are afraid we will lose recruits? We keep playing like this recuits will be a non issue. How will it look if we lose some talented players because we play 5th year or portal players over young players we recruited ?

Some of the players you speak of aren't performing. Johnson has been a train wreck every time he's played. Costantini has been invisible, he should keep playing? IIRC wasn't Kunz hurt at the beginning of the season? He's been hit or miss. Mostly miss. The portal players on D have all been better than Johnson, Sidorski and Farmer have been pretty solid.

Forget NIL money find some cash to buy Berry out, time to move on before we are the Michigan tech/Wisconsin of the Nchc

Hypothetically speaking. Who are you going to replace him with? IIRC he has like 3 years left on his contract. That's a lot of money to buy out. There's' a good chance that you could lose a good share of the incoming recruits that his staff recruited. There's some highly talented kids coming in, too. I am just asking.

Trump calls on Fox News to fire reporter who confirmed some parts of Atlantic story

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/05/media/the-atlantic-trump-military-fox-news/index.html

From the article that you posted, CNN's Brian Stelter is by far one of the least credible hosts/writers at CNN. The author of the post in question is also a Russian collusion hoaxer. So nothing CNN pumps out is very news worthy. Keep swinging for the fences, you might hit a single eventually.

Brian Stelter writes: "From the reporting in my new book 'HOAX,' I think this passage from Page 18 is most applicable to Friday's news. I wrote that anchors and commentators felt 'excruciating pressure to please the Fox base -- and avoid their wrath.' This pressure comes, in part, from the daily ratings reports... The Nielsens are like 'an invisible hand,' one Fox veteran said, pushing everyone in a rightward direction. So banners and segments and bookings are all influenced by the fear that viewers will turn the TV off..."

Brian Stelter writes: "Trump said the word 'hoax' five times in 15 seconds at Friday's press briefing. He said Goldberg's story was a 'hoax' just like 'Russia-Russia-Russia was a hoax.' By doing so, he basically explained the title of my aforementioned book. At this point, his copious claims about hoaxes add up to... a hoax! He has been using the word more and more, every year, accusing his opponents of malice. The word is a building block in his permanent campaign of disbelief, as I wrote in this NYT op-ed..."

What I don't want to see in every thread are political comments, for example talking about how the Trump administration has severely neglected the importance of testing and tracing and that's why so many southern states are now reversing their opening strategies while the US has seen not only the highest number of positive tests but also a higher positive testing rate within those tests.

I also don't want to see posts comparing the US to Europe and the number of positive cases, despite the same number of tests, because that's politics and shouldn't be allowed outside of the Dumpster Fire thread.

If wanting to talk about sports on a site called SiouxSPORTS makes me a snowflake, I sincerely apologize to the true snowflakes that are offended by this idea.

You don't want to see political statements, and then you turn around and make a political statement. M'kay… What you're really saying is I don't want to see any pro-Trump comments or arguments. You only want to see big orange man, very bad.

I'm just picking this thread because I also have a thought and there's no reason to create new threads:

Can we create an option to ignore entire threads? Before I completely quit SiouxSports because every thread turns into politics, it would be nice to choose to only see the ones that are actually related to sports.

Or if 5 people flag a post as political, then it doesn't appear if you have a setting checked. Clearly, the politics have been allowed to go unchecked into threads other than the 5g and it has ruined this board.

What? Were you triggered by the Coronavirus thread? We could find you a safe space if you need it. :)  Seriously, you sound like @jack from twitter. Let's squash any subject or title that you deem offensive or objectionable. Keep in mind, there may be others that want to read it.

Exactly. Its not like we played Cal Poly, or some lower level DI team, we played the #8 team in the country, a team that usually gets close to the Final Four every year. Its a good way to see where we could improve and what works against one of the best.

    I am excited for football.

North Dakota will score at least three power play goals this weekend. Miami's kill has been awful, and the RedHawks don't have the puck very much. That's a recipe for success for a UND power play unit that just needs to gain some confidence.

    Dave

    You are correct sir:

    They're power play is ranked 48th Miami  25/ 33 (75.8)

    However, UND's penalty kill is ranked 49th 2/25 (.08)

One thing that has stuck out; UND is ranked 54 in penalty minutes. They’ve taken 7 penalties for 52 minutes
that’s an average of 7.4 minutes per game. I know it means little until
they get into league play and faceoff against rival opponents like UMD, UMN, and DU.

The GF Herald editorial board suggests the issue with not having a solid list of presidential candidates is because the annual salary of $365K is way too low.

Yeah, I would be real hard to survive on $365.000.
