Good lord this game is tight. My nerves don't like this.

We will roll tonight. 5-2. Duluth is way overrated and we have the best team in the country and want it more.
-
Couldn't they have sent an alternate team to each site. Or a team close by regionally that was a bubble team? I bet Denver UConn and others on the outside looking in would have taken that chance. They would have been there, been tested, and been ready.

Exactly what is the NC$$ testing protocol? And if there is one positive test is that team done?
Anyone know of any hoochies to visit the Duluth hotel?
-
In all honesty though we should steamroll this team tonight. We have the best team in the country for the past 24 months and this will be just more motivation that they have a play-in game just to face Duluth who will be fresh. I hope it pisses them off and we roll the next 2 games.

Fair enough "Buck".....but it is always entertaining to see those so eager to response to everything I post. It isn't a one way street.
Just hockey it is.
One would have to think there must have been multiple tests or the player that did test positive got a Rapid positive and then did a blood test to confirm or something. I can't imagine they wouldn't confirm something 2 or 3 times before ending their season. So stupid they are going out and looking for positives. Unless they are showing symptoms then what is the point?

Any idea if UND got told they are the late game or chose to be the late game Friday? You would think as the #1 overall seed they would get the option and would prefer the earlier for a bit more rest. Always wondered how that works. I am totally overlooking this game and worried about Saturday. I know I shouldn't be, but if this team is as good as we think it is Friday shouldn't be an issue.

No dice on Paramount Plus. There is a hockey listing, but it only has old hockey east games from last year.
Just gotta keep my kids from seeing all the Nick Jr. shows on here, because it looks like an awful streaming service. Maybe the free month will be worth it for basketball.

How are you getting shafted? You know CBSSN has exclusive rights to the league semis and finals before the year started.
Ok so shafted maybe isn't the correct term, but it is stupid. That better for you?
-
I suppose I could see if there is a 2 week free thing haha.
-
I signed up for the Paramount Plus service hoping that since it was a CBS owned company advertising March Madness live game and such that it might carry tonight's game. Has anyone used this and if so do they carry live games on CBSSN? From what it looks like probably not. This is frustrating to pay for NCHC.TV and get shafted yearly. Anyone have options for those of us with no access to cable tv?

BLM and NAACP did their heavy lifting today in Fargo. They get the night off. Hopefully with burden that off their plates they can produce something on the ice in a game tonight.
Looked like a super spreader event with no regard to 6 feet away in Fargo. Love how people pick and choose what is important when they have an axe to grind. Hopefully these guys stand up and not make the same mistake twice.
-
Maybe we are looking at this the wrong way. Maybe the entire team is taking a stand against the actions of 2. This could be a fractured locker room. Cue the dramatic da da daa.... Haha

My apologies.....was not in Fargo. Was at a BLM protest in GF.
Had no idea of either. No need to apologize. Didn't hear of what the team was up to in the offseason.

There.....you got me. Holding a cardboard sign at a protest in Fargo is enough to convince me.
My bad on this one.........
I must have missed something. Did part of our team partake in the "peaceful protests" this summer? Genuinely have no idea. Hope not.

Thanks for the tip, but I'd say the poster made it pretty gosh darn clear what is in her heart. A lot of unresolved grief and resentment, apparently, manifesting in a positively vile way that projects onto others and seems to blind her to or at least limit her view on a complex issue.
I mean I read nothing vile in what she posted. Guess two different people can read things in a variety of ways.

That's heavy. Ironically, perhaps, Steve and Leo died under an oath to defend the Constitution, not your feelings. But what's done is done.
Maybe you should endeavor to understand what is in those players' hearts, rather than judge them on a single perceived slight.
Cheers.
Or maybe you should endeavor to understand what is in the poster's heart instead of two white kids that have no idea what racism actually is. I am sure the two kneeling have never worn a Sioux hoodie or shirt right. Because if they really cared about social justice issues maybe they could think about what that logo makes certain native americans feel. Selective outrage is all over the place.

If players aren't free to kneel during the anthem, then we have no freedom in this country.
They are free to kneel just like we are free to tell them they are wrong and misguided. Do what you want and don't be surprised by a backlash.

Fans would be too busy chanting Home of the Sioux to care oh wait I guess disrespecting the anthem only matters when you kneel
Plenty of time for us to booooo until it's time to gather our thoughts and yell home of the Sioux. It will be fine.

The players won't likely feel any affect from their actions directly. Like I said I am indifferent to anthem kneelers and people are allowed to believe what they want in regards to kneeling. Some of the people who are not fans of it may be alumni, represent corporations, and own businesses and it certainly is their decision whether they want to be associated with or contribute to this activity.....from the sounds of things it has not gone over very well in Fargo and the Team Makers are feeling it in their pocketbook.
UND Hockey is counted on to generate revenue, sponsorships, and contributions to help fund the non revenue generating sports. So what happens if some of those funds shrink or dry up? Like I said, it won't be the hockey teams that feels the pain first. It will be the other programs that suffer first and would be on the potential chopping block first. The athletes on scholarship in those sports would be next. Maybe an assistant in the athletic directors office or coaches office loses hours or their job. If enough money disappears maybe the team loses their chef, maybe the facilities they enjoy don't get updated, maybe the stick budget shrinks, cost of living stipends shrink.
It will be the athletes 2-4 years down the road that will feel the Law of Unintended Consequences...or maybe all the alumni and other contributors just shrug their shoulders and continue on business as usual.
There is no immediate response. If this happened infront of fans at home I'm sure there would be plenty of people yelling at them to stand up. They don't have to deal with it until they do it at home with fans in attendance.

Well the Laptop it is until they fix this Roku issue. And to those saying get latest version. When you uninstall and reinstall the version available on the Roku app store one would assume this is the newest version and it doesn't work for me. Should be as easy as sign in and watch.
