Thanks to all for correcting me. I've never seen them use that logo for hockey They seem to have more logos than the Sioux. Their hockey web page is http://omavs.com/index.aspx?path=mhockey& with three different logos used on one page alone. Anything to try to sell more stuff in the bookstore and to alumni $$$. 1. The 4 schools get tickets in the lower bowl with each taking up a section or two. Sometimes the bands sit with their fans, or they will get an area to set up on their end of the arena. 2. Yes, it seems the Skills are something that are no longer part of the weekend. They have replaced it with an open skate. Apparently there are no Gophers that have enough skills to qualify to help home attendance for the event. Here is a link to the Schedule of Events that was sent with the tickets for those of you that will be getting tickets elsewhere. http://www.ncaa.com/sites/default/files/files/78314_SOE_72.pdf

I got my Friday night tickets along with the FF tickets. Just ticketmaster style with Wild and Xcel Energy Center stock logos on them.
-
I got my tickets today. Section 108 Row 8, the best I have gotten since 1997. Not sure if that's an omen or not.

If the Sioux don't get it together perfection will be gone. 3 - 0 Yale after 2. We do remember last year that it isn't over until the last second is run off the clock.

I'll be wearing my Bryce Methven captian's jersey

Air Force went to Atlantic Hockey to play Army more often and there was talk that Navy was going to go from club to D-I and join AH as well. That's was one the reasons Navy became hosts for this year's Frozen Four. But not alot has been said ove rthe last couple of years on when or if Navy was stepping up to D-I.
-
So if UMD falls tonight, and if BSU wins tomorrow to go to the Frozen Four. Will that speed up the process to grant the Beavers WCHA status?
-
The biggest crowds were against Air Force. Even when AFA was down. If they can make it to DC, I would expect a good following for them. The BSU kids traveled well for the CHA Title game in Detroit a few years back. So I would think they would make the trip to DC as well. College Hockey America was not great hockey, but it was good hockey. On any given night they could pull off a win anywhere. The Bevs need 20 sound mins here. Cornell, who is very beatable is awaiting someone.

Michigan's my #1 team (alumn), and UND is my #2 team that I pull for. I hate Minny, I hate Bucky. Michigan was better this year, then last year, but not good enough to win it all this year. BU smoked them earlier this year and yet Bowling Green almost swept them in a home and home series. Teams beat them by playing them close and tight. Notre Dame has a good 'D' but played more cupcakes than most of the good teams, so there is still a question if they can play a CHA team. Robert Morris beat them a couple of years ago, and UAH took them to 2OT in the 1st round that yearas well. That they lost to Michigan State (who went on to win it all) in the next game. All the stars were alined for Mich St to win it that year. All the State people I talked to said they were happy to be there, and did not think they had a chance. They matched well with Maine, and UND had to play BC. We know haw the rest went. Can the Bevs hold a 3 - 0 lead? Lets hope so! I went to a lot of CHA games at Wayne State. So to see AFA & BSU do as good as they are doing is a great reflection that the CHA had some good teams. Hockey was just not a good fit for some of the schools in the league, as travel was a big cost factor.
-
I live by AA and didn't hear any of that. Red's teams can't get by the semi's. Kinda like the Sioux and playing BC.
-
Funny!! All I heard last year was Sioux this and Sioux that! It was going to be a home game for the Fighting Sioux. With all the UND fans in Denver it was going to be a cake walk.
-
The CHA is still alive and kicking! That's with only one 'C'!
-
Another 1 or 2 going down again this year!
-
Cornell has scored 3 straight to lead NE with 17 secs. left
-
Cornell scores to tie Northeastern at 2 with less than 3 to play in the 3rd

Hockey East looked strong all season. Could this be a shift in the power we have been fearing? WCHA is down to one team. One that has come from 7th place to get hot when you need to. Now's the time to show WCHA pride, as who plays the best hockey.
-
Man this stinks! After Michigan losing yesterday, I knew that at least I could hope for the Sioux to win and make it to the Frozen Four. You guys are the best when it comes to pre-game parties. But now I have to pull for BU, and hope my friends will come down to DC for the weekend. A Frozen Four without a Sioux pre-game party will not be the same.
-
Red has signed on for another season.
-
Neutral ice has not been good either! Getting swept by MTU and Mich. St in Detroit. What a low point!
-
The Sioux had thier chance to avoid being stuck in the same in the spot they are in if they could of won one game this weekend. It's hard to complain too much when you could have proven you are better on the ice and don't. They had the chance to play close by, but lost it in not one but two games. Grand Rapids would have been a better fate and closer to home, but when you lose two games like this weekend you can't expect it to be easy from here on out. What's pasted is pasted. Now it's time to win four in a row no matter who The Sioux face. Time to prove the WCHA is not down this year by sending only three teams. Time to show who is really the best!
-
Of course a Lowell win over BU would knock out the 14th place PW team, even if Lowell finishes below that spot. That might just take care of both Minny and OSU. Thus giving Hockey East 5 teams this year. Since I will be at the CCHA games tonight, I will not know any of the other scores till I get home. It should be a good night for hockey and reading all the comments in the morning.
-
At least we have till Sunday's announcement, to talk about this. We all can hope Minny doesn

Nothing is truly set in stone with the NCAA. It's thier Frozen Four not the PW Frozen Four
