The commentators for the NHL Radio on the Youngstars game said that Parise looked like a pro when he was 17-18
-
Parise named the Youngstars player of the game

ya'll who are hatin on DOM need to chill. he does what he does to get the crowd fired up. if you are annoyed by him, go sit somewhere else or get season tix for another section, OR JUST DONT COME. he is a STUDENT, and plays in the STUDENT section. He is in inspiration to everyone when we may be losing, or just are quiet. When i was there @ UND i hung out with him alot and he is a great person. If loud noises and crazy personlities get under your skin, then why the **** are you at a COLLEGE HOCKEY GAME?!?!? BLEED GREEN/GO FIGHTING SIOUX!!!

haha yeah i meant it would be a smart one for the Wild. so add someone or 2 along with Dupuis and get Blake
-
as far as i know the wild ARE looking to get rid of Dupuis. that would be a smart trade. im not sure what the hurricanes would do if they even were to consider him. they cant trade a d-man for him, since they have a shortage. and trading one high-profile forward for another is pretty much pointless. they'd have to run with a lower profile forward or 2 and/or some prospects and/or some draft picks

This was f***in unbelieveably funny

Under the "Rumor Central" area of ESPN.com/NHL there is a little rumor going around about Blake. here is what it said... Will Blake be moved by trade deadline? Jan 19 - Jason Blake leads the Islanders in scoring and he's headed to the All-Star Game next week, but all of that success isn't necessarily locking him up with the club. According to a report in Newsday, Isles GM Garth Snow has not yet made an offer to Blake, who is set to become a free agent July 1. Snow said that they intend on keeping the left winger. "We haven't thought like that [of trading away players]," Snow told the newspaper. "I anticipate us adding pieces. We absolutely want him back." Said Neil Sheehy, Blake's agent: "Nothing has been done, but the Islanders have made it very clear they want to sign Jason. I don't like to distract players during the season. I told Jason I don't see a trade happening, especially if they're in the playoff hunt." we'll see what happens. i DO know, just because its the team that i follow, that the Carolina Hurricanes are looking to make a trade for a high-profile forward to boost their front line, like they did last year with Recchi and Weight. I would go nuts if they picked up Blake. I'd love to see Blake and Commy skatin together.

I wanted to add a shoutout to my buddies on the East Carolina University hockey team (ACHA Division 3) on their sweep this weekend of Appalachain State University. The sweep brings them to 12-3 on the year, and they remain undefeated in the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference at 11-0

What a B-E-A-UTIFUL GOAL BY TOEWS!!!
-
He didnt get any penalties last night, he just got smoked lol. yeah tell me about it. it was total BS. Tanabe tried to make so many excuses for it, but he just shouldnt have played the puck in the air like that. Although, if Ward would have been in net and not Grahame (major puckhandler), it would not have happened anyways becuse Ward would have stayed in front of the goal. Kolzig WAS really on last night. It was tough watching him make all those nice saves and give up hardly any rebounds. Obviously, with 2 goals, Semin was on as well. Ovechkin definitely was NOT, as Carolina's defense held him up pretty well.

Since Kessel has been back, he hadn't scored any points until 2 games ago. In the last 2 games he has 3 goals and an assists. It doesnt seem too much like he has let much off.

FINALLY getting to watch Commodore tonight was awesome. He played pretty well, which is more than i can say for alot of the guys on either team. Even Ovechkin seemed a little sluggish tonight. The assist Commy got should have been his goal, but it didnt bank off of Kolzig's back like he intended for it to. Kolzig had come out to stop a shot but it was deflected down to Commy, who was along the goal line and shot it to the goal while Kolzig was still out from in front of it. It hit off Kolzig's glove, however, and went right to Cole. It should have just deflected off of Kolzig's back and gone in. He had enough room to do that. Oh well. Glad to finally get out to an NHL game. The best part was, i had tix for row YY (51st row), but when we sat there, these 2 old guys i was talking to said they were jsut sitting there, that there seats were in row K (11th row), and that we could go take those 2 seats if we wanted. Of course we did. It was much better from there. THANKS to those guys. As soon as i get my pics and vids from the game (the camera died last night, so i ahve to charge it) i will post them

i kinda wish carolina had traded up for him when they needed a D-Man. he was starting to lose time, and i was hoping they'd get him. and since they went with Phoenix for the trade, i had hoped they had gotten Roche (esp with how wel lhe's playin lately) or Jones (who has been non-existant lately). but oh well. Hale, however, was starting to get less and less ice time. i think he had 6 shifts in last nights game.
