Same to you JFR. A good friend of mine is interviewing for a position within the athletic deparment of Rutgers. He is pumped and anxious to get to the interview.
I will be the 1st to admit that I am a Rutger's Bandwagon fan as they sure have been fun to watch this year!!!!

I'm excited for this weekend, I have great seats for both games. Great people to go to the games with......
Now, if we could only skip the holiday and get on with the games.
I'm having a hard time keeping on task at work- it's like when I was a little kid and we were getting out of school for a break.
I have paperwork that needs to get done, and I ain't doing it!
Paperwork before Thanksgiving sucks especially considering the Sioux play on Friday. Worse yet, it is 60 degrees out and I was just asked to go golfing and had to say no as I have to get some paperwork done as well. Nice to know others are stuck in the same boat with me

Sorry I was being sarcastic. There was a letter in the G.F. Herald last summer saying that the UND coaching staff won't ever get another good recruit out of the USHL and that the coaches and best players in the U.S. are going to disrespect the program because all three coaches are canadien.

I can't believe that the Sioux have commitments from 2 of the top forwards and one of the best Defensemen recruits from the USHL.
I didn't think that UND would ever get another recruit out of the USHL ever again.
And their Americans too. WOW
Just a question for you, what happened to make you think that we would never get a USHL recruit ever again? I am just curious as to your thoughts. Thanks.

What a great game. I was really impressed with their intensity and the crowd was AWESOME. One of the best football games I have watched in a long time. I am on the bandwagon.....

Last night was the first time I watched the show. I thought the show made her look like kind of a whiner. I plan on watching it a again, but I hope that changes.
Based off of next weeks previews, it gets worse.....

You just will never get it. Thanks to posters like PCM, Hockey Mom, Mafia Man, Sagard and many more that are too numerous to mention that have the ability to look at two sides of an issue. With you it is always the same pathetic story. Go ahead and bash away but out of courtesy to other posters, I will not respond to this issue any more that I already have as I have stated what I wanted to and I am moving on.

Hmmm... not sure I agree with everything I'm being accused of saying here. Let's break it down:
The Bison suck (even though NDSU whipped a Big 10 team in every aspect but the scoreboard) - I hate the Bison, but that doesn't mean they suck. They have a good football team, but I believe some of their fans think they're better than they actually are.
Basketball in all forms suck (even though it is a very popular sport in ND) - Basketball does nothing for me personally although I realize a lot of people follow it nationwide. I don't think it is as popular as hockey in the state of North Dakota, based on attendance for Sioux hockey games vs. Sioux and Bison basketball games.
Red River Hockey
sucks (even though they have been one of the more dominant teams for the last 10 years) - On the contrary, I think Red River has a very strong hockey program.Short hair sucks (tell that to the folks in the armed forces) - I personally would hate to see short hair on my head, but each to their own.
Long-Hair is AWESOME - I love the way long hair looks on my head, but each to their own.
Heavy Metal is AWESOME - Depends on how you define the term. I love '80s hair metal, but hate some of the newer crap that's being passed off as metal now.
Hockey is Awesome (unless it involves a Grand Forks school) - Hockey is my favorite sport and I have nothing against teams from the town I was born in.
Fargo South rule the State in Hockey and will be the next dynasty - In recent years they have been one of the better teams in the state. There are more kids playing hockey at the youth level in south Fargo than anywhere else in the state. Based on numbers alone, South should continue to be very good in the future.
Gophers are awesome in football. - On the contrary, the Gophers suck at football. They're very good at hockey, but their football team is a joke.
In conclusion, I would like to say thank you for being so obsessed with me. But next time try to be a little more accurate. You really don't know me as well as you think you do. Nice try, though... thanks for playing.

DaveK, I could go back over the numerous threads and prove each of my comments. I would prefer not to do that due to time constraints and boring other posters but I will say this:
One of the greatest things about this web-site is that it enables fans (yes, even some Gopher and Bison fans) in open, objective conversation on a variety of subjects. Your posts are close-minded and completely lack any objectivity whatsoever. Like I said....same song different verse.

Fun to watch our 4th line - Genoway is really impressive. They got caught in their end on a long shift but other than that, I thought they looked good.

i put kozek...he will be awesome this year...around 40pts. and bishop as well, he has an advantage with his speed. genoway was a split with bishop, but i gave bishop the benefit of the doubt. it would be interesting to redo this poll after this weekend...some opinions will change.
If your prediction comes true, I will buy you a beer in St. Louis site of the Frozen Four this year!

I don't think sticking up for JB means that people are condoning violence. Remember, in the article we're basically hearing one side of the story. I'm not sure how closely people actually read this article, but I just read it again, and it appears that JB's female companions and the alleged victim were the first to actually fight. Exactly who threw the first punch is unclear given we only have the alleged victim's side of the story. However, let's say for the sake of argument that in JB's eyes, this woman who supposedly was using racial epithets towards him was now fighting with his female friends. Is it still completely unacceptable to use violence in this circumstance, i.e. if you see somebody fighting with family or friends? I think it's a valid question. I don't think JB used good judgment, but I think there are some extenuating circumstances here that make things more complicated than they may appear at first. JB has no history of being violent as far as I know. I'm not going to throw him under the bus for this, at least not without hearing his side of the story.
Good post and I understand your logic. My only point is that people need to be accountable for their actions/conduct. In fairness to JB, the Bogus Reader (Argus Leader) is notorious for running with one side of the story and not getting a complete picture.

Are you black? and had racial slurs spat at you thoughout your life? I can't identify with him well enough to know exactly what I would do, but a person shouldn't be able to hide behind there gender. If you were pushed far enough to strike a man, why not a woman? Who knows for certain until put in the situation.
Wow am I surprised at the number of people sticking up for JB. At what point then in in your logic would JB have crossed the line of wrong-doing? Apparently you are saying it is ok to hit a female (or male for that matter).
Regardless of what was said to him, JB needs to be accountable for his actions - it would have made a lot more sense for him to just walk away and take the high ground. He choose not to and take matters into his own hands, therefore he should take responsibility for his actions.

I say UND Fighting Sue - our mascot could be a big fat lady with a drag hanging out of her mouth and a can of bud in her hand. Her shoulder would have a nice Sioux tattoo on it.

I have always liked the UMD program and find myself chearing for them unless they are playing UND. As someone said earlier, what was the purpose of this thread?
That being said - Go Bulldogs except for February 16th and 17th.

Are you serious? I can hear arguments for UND being ahead of UM, but those arguments probably shouldn't include Holy Cross references, since the two teams are completely different now as opposed to last March.
The goofs have fizzled out each of the last 2 years in similar fashion. I think it is totally relevant as Donnine the Knob is still at the reigns in Goofer land.
