I really liked this past year when he was hurt but still had the game of his life out there. Should be fun to see the first Blackhawks vs. Blues game this year.

The White Out should be planned way in advance for a weekend and be marketed constantly for the weeks leading up to it. It cant be a last minute thing and it should be planned for a specific team every year...like say the Bulldogs...every year people would just know that when we play UMD, everybody wears white.
I agree and for the most part that is what took place last year. The only problems that to me limited its success was that there was no official sponsor who would give out shirts and somewhat of a lack of advertisement. You don't need a TV spot, just a local news anchor or radio personality to remind everyone, Where White Tonight!!

Its my birthday today and my husband surprised me with Dave tickets for the June 18 Toronto show!!!! I'm so excited!!! Its an outdoor venue like Alpine but for the first time I"ll have seats and not lawn tickets. Even though we're in one of the back sections, we'll be right center stage. He doesnt really like Dave but he's willing to go for me!!!!

Stars win it on a great goal. Congrats to both teams, Sharks made a great effort and made it a series when it wasn't. Hopefully my childhood hero Doug Wilson isn't canned, he spent a lot of money building this team and sadly still fell short especially with all the high expectations.
I also wonder what will happen to Roenick, he wants to retire, I believe he still has a place in Chicago, Blackhawks need a veteran forward and defensemen. Could he fill that spot? He isn't as great as he used to be, but at the Hull/Mikita night the crowd cheered and did not boo for him when he was announced, a surprising change from the fans. I honestly can see him going full circle and ending his career with the Hawks, especially if he wants his number retired.

That one could be a tough series, I am expecting a few fight and scrums in this one. The Flyers are tough and I used to think they were a bunch of thugs but they have done it by beating their oppostion on the ice and have out muscled, out hustled the Habs and the Crapitals.
IF the Pens don't stop acting like a bunch spioled cry babies the Flyers are going to run them out of the building.
Let's just hope the Conference Finals are better than the 2nd round, I thought it was quite boring compared to the first round. Alot more grit and heart I felt in the first round.

It means that, usually when a guy debates a gal, the debate ends up being irrelevant. He may win the debate but he'll lose the war. I mean... in a relationship, you can argue with your gal that you deserve to spend time with the guys whenever you want and she may relent, but it doesn't mean that you won't be sleeping on the couch for a while.
It's one thing I learned from my dad. When the debate doesn't involve a lot of money or the removal of body parts, just say "Yes, Dear!"

I think these days most people in the upper midwest know about Charley Walters' BS, and I'm not saying this isn't true, but this report came from a note in his column today.
I will want to be at the first Caps/Coyotes game that Wheeler and Finley are dressed in. Like a lion after his prey, or an Eagle after a Coyote.

I think I watched the worst fans in proffesional hockey last night in the Philadelphia Flyers. Who boo's an opposing player after he takes a 90 mph slapshot in the chest and is unable to get up and then continue to boo him while he is going to the lockerroom. It was like watching 5 yr olds at the play ground.
I completely agree, how would they have felt if it turned out to be more serious (i.e. internal bleeding, low percentage but maybe death) Those fans should be ashamed. I am still ashamed that I initially cheered when Smaby hit Trotter and continued to cheer when he couldn't get up, but I quickly shutup when I realized it was serious.

I think it would be really cool to have an unofficial 'Alumni Jersey' night next season. I think the exhibition game against Mannitoba would be a great day for siouxsports.com members to wear NHL or International jerseys featuring former Sioux players.
Just a thought. I would wear my Dave Christian 1980 Miracle jersey!
I'll do it, I also think we need to do an official Siouxsports.com pregame or post game party. Just so many of us can put a face with the name. For example, I think Goon looks like a golden retriever, Sioux-cia just a woman, redwing77 a crazy putter wielder that is a fan of a terrible hockey team, and do you know how many people I believe oddly resemble a Sioux logo, including myself

I was also listening to Eh Hee the other day and minus the F-bomb, I'd be pumped to hear that as a Sioux starting lineup, anyone else feel this?

Lastly, last week I was at a buddy's house and his roommate had Dave shuffling on his Ipod, is it sad that I can tell you which live album it is just by hearing the song?

So there is talk on the Hawks website about the official store for the Hawks selling game used equipment. Used sticks that retail for over $200 are being sold for $50 bucks along with many of the players custom skates, and I noticed some of Lalime's and Habby's pads. Sadly though, the minimum for any Toews or Kane equipment is $250. But I am buying like 4 sticks for myself just to play with.

Congrats Oshie and Good Luck, I will now officially have to root against you. Some word of advice when you play your division foe the Blackhawks this coming year watch out for this dude they call Taves, he's good.
