It scares me that Oshie came back multiple times and then went back to the locker room. It would be better if he just went to the locker room and was done for the game, knowing that there is nothing to lose in this game.

I was there and have a ton of pics coming up in the next days, btw I recommend checking out that ceremony, very good for the Blackhawks, the city of Chicago, and the NHL.

Attention all jersey lovers out there: Tonight during pregame warmups and in honor of Blackhawks great Bobby Hull, J. Toews wore number 9, don't know what will happen with the jersey. That is a rare jersey as I'm guessing it will never happen again, so keep your ears open (I will to) in case that jersey goes up for sale.

One of the best days of the year, Sioux are playing (can't make it ) but leaving right now for the hawks game in Chicago. Got my sioux hat on and ready to go for a Toews hat trick, and will make sure to take a ton of pictures. Don't worry I have someone giving me updates on both the Sioux and CC game so I'll stay in the loop. Also, not golf course weather, but its better than 5 degrees, too bad I'll be back Sunday Have fun tonight guys and cheer loud so we scare the Tigers in Colorado.

I don't think its that bad or was meant to be malicious, I think Sweeney had said Chay and Gergen had once played on the same team together.

Well they termed it a mild concussion but i do see where you were coming from. Tonight Eager got in a fight and turtled (Parros began sucker punching him), I think he might have been scared but some say he might not have been cleared to fight yet. But hey something you don't see everyday, Eager drew a 7, yes 7 minute power play in the incident. The sad thing, the Blackhawks did not capitalize, but still beat the Mighty Sucks 3-0. To relate this in some way to the former players thread, I did listen to the first 5 minutes on the radio with Troy Murray calling the game, and Toews did have a decent game.

I shared my story a few months ago about when I was at the Chicago Blackhawks game. During warmups I was stalking cheering for Toews with my Sioux gear on. Towards the end of warmups Adam Burish came on over to our area and was resting. He looked over at my brother and I and we flashed all our Sioux gear, he simply looked, stuck out his tongue in disgust then laughed. It was a classic moment and is fun to see players carry the rivalries in their pro careers.

Just to put it out there that the Chicago Blackhawks are a major candidate to host next years outdoor game (there are many others though). Something cool though that I heard in a McDonough interview today is that he wants to play at either Wrigley or Soldier field, but also do it in conjunction with other hockey games including college hockey. Major college candidates include Wisco, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, and even Minnesota. Now I'm suspecting it would most likely bee a Big Ten game, but it would be fun to see a Wisco/Sioux game in Chicago. They would definately get a good attendance from Sioux fans as there are a ton in Chicago, and we probably travel best when compared to other teams.

Anyone think its good to hear that Hak has even thought that Chay would be available this weekend. Something tells me if he is questionable this weekend, he will be here by playoffs.

CSN Chicago just made some great comments about Toews in the pregame. Probably the best is how he has played through injuries, including his latest stitches, and that it almost embarasses the other players who are sitting off with weak injuries (Lang, "soar back", Eager missed at least 20 with a mild concussion)

It will be close, Blackhawks are making a push right now and they did look good against the Wild last night. They have won 8 of there last 11.
