  1. Not as good as the North-Century game. Erdmann had 34 from North and Century's top 2 scorers had 29 and 27. Great game, not decided until the end. I think the final score was something like 78-75.
  2. On a seperate note, here are my Day 1 Awards: Best Dressed: Thomas Campbell (Grafton) Looked good in the suit Best Streak Kept Alive: Red River, 13 straight years making the State Semifinals. Most Surprising: Devils Lake winning 1-0 after 1 period Best Piercing: Justin Connell of Bismarck, 2 in the ears, 1 in the tounge (the tounge stud won it for him) Best Joke, with Apologies to Wilbur: "You know it's a Thursday at the State Tournament when Minot loses" Ugliest Hair: Zack Herrmann (#12 Bismarck) Most Outlandish Celebration: Tony Kringstad going over to the Grafton students section and banging on the glass with his stick, after Grafton scored to make it 5-1. Best Performance: Thomas Campbell 1 goal, 3 assists Worst Hair Style (as a Team): Bismarck for the "Skullets" Those are the awards for today, congrats to everyone who took them home!
  3. Agree. Meland has 2 more years, whereras Spies is a senior. Also, its not like Meland had THAT much better season than Spies.
  4. I've been as civil as I can during our whole conversation. In no way do I "troll". I was just trying to point out my point on the whole matter. I'm done discussing this.
  5. My answer to this question would be probably you, who was maybe upset about South losing to RR...Postseason awards don't really matter.
  6. Actually, Stars9, you CAN change the post and make it look like the original author wrote it. For example, look how I changed the names in the all-EDC team (I bolded them for you). As far as the five posts, do you think this is the first time I've ever used a message board?
  7. Here's what I thought of the game, and the tournament and upcoming state tourney as a whole. -Red River/South was a GREAT game. These teams are far and away the two best in the state (like you guys didn't already know that). Thought that the refs were a little disappointing in the third period, especially on the penalty call with about 2 minutes left. I have no idea how he saw a trip out of that, but oh well. They were pretty solid for the most part anyway. -I have heard rumors (hopefully untrue) that the Mr. Hockey voting is already completed. If that is true, Marc Mihulka got terribly shafted. Never before have I seen one player dominate the way he did not only tonite, but also the entire tournament and the past 3 weeks of the season (multiple goals in 8 of their last 10 games). He may have single-handedly won Mr. Hockey this weekend... -I was at the North/Central game tonite and I saw something that really made me wonder how badly North wanted to win. Near the end of the game, after North had just scored to make it a 2 goal defecit, 5-3, I noticed Klenow coasting around the ice and not exactly busting his ass as if his high school career was nearing an end. The game was not yet over, and North could've easily scored in the time that was left in the game (see: Red River/North game last year). I mentioned this to a friend and he wholeheartedly agreed. -What was with Dean Wilson winning coach of the year? Don't get me wrong, but isn't this one of their most talented teams ever? Didn't they have the same conference record as Red River, who was picked as the 8th best team in the state in a preseason magazine? Hmm...that's pretty questionable if you ask me. The award should've gone to either Matt Malm or Ross Richards from West Fargo. -I'm going to go out on a limb and predict a Red River/South championship game. I just do not see any team that would be able to knock either of these powerhouses off. -Congrats to Minot on winning the west- now the question is (as I'm sure Wilbur will agree) if they can get by their first round tourney jitters and knock off Central. I would not be at all surprised to see Central win that game, but then again I could see Minot blowing out the Knights as well. Should be the best game in the first round. -Too bad about Williston having so many injuries to their top players. With them in the lineup, I would've had them beating a very underachieving Grafton/Park River team in the first round.
  8. Very interesting that you pointed this out - Hey everyone- go back and reread junior24's original post. He spelled the name "Weisgarber". Stars9 then went and changed it to "Wisegarbage". Pretty classy, Stars.

  10. I'd have to agree with the talk that Kringstad is a bit "out there". Seeing his antics all through these past two years has really given me a negative impression of him. I hate to say it, but is it possible that his attitude and ego are possibly effecting his play...?
  11. Talent? On Fargo North? Seriously? Everyone talks about how good those players are but do you guys want to know a little secret? They aren't very good. Klenow = OVERRATED. I went to a North game hoping to see a kid who could go somewhere but all I saw was a player that was constantly dragging behind. I have no idea how anyone can think this kid can play anywhere after high school. OK guys - go ahead and tear me apart because I'm not being very nice and ND Pride why don't you give me some crap about how he is being talked to by junior teams (somehow you know everything about him, weird). I just don't think he's very good. Sorry for stating my opinion, but that is how I honestly feel.
