  1. I have to agree with about everything on this list...
  2. When I saw Klenow play I thought he stood out...I don't think he has made as much of an impact this year as his team has not been playing up to snuff. I just thought he was a pretty good player...I don't know how he would do at the NAHL level...
  3. Anyone want to do predictions on the Regional games??? Play-Ins: Bottineau vs. Mandan Jamestown vs. Wahpeton Minot vs. Bottineau/Mandan Bismarck vs. Hazen Williston vs. Dickinson Devils Lake vs. Century Red River vs. Jamestown/Wahp. Central vs. West Fargo Fargo South vs. Shanley Grafton vs. Fargo North
  4. Last year at EDC -- 1 South vs 8 Shanley 2 Red River vs 7 West Fargo 3 Grafton vs 6 Jamestown 4 GF Central vs 5 Fargo North
  5. If Red River and Fargo South both win the rest of their games ...who would win the tiebreaker...I could follow all those rules but its too much work for me...
  6. I saw Connell play once this year and he was definitely a standout player. Once again, I have watched Jamestown a lot this year - They have put up terrible numbers as far as stats and their record goes...Like I said I think they are underperforming...but I would just like to say that Zach Welding is an outstanding player, he's a very good stickhandler and has great speed and you have got to watch this kid lay some people out...He is a BIG hitter.....sorry for all the Jamestown talk (Damn J-town native...)
  7. I heard that Paul Campbell wanted to go to juniors or college but I heard Thomas just wanted to go to school and not play next year. I don't even know where I heard that but I know I heard it...
  8. As a native of Jamestown I am pretty disappointed about the down play of the west region. Yeah Jamestown is in the East Region until next year and most people in Jamestown are upset with that too. They tend to believe that they can compete with the eastern teams and if they had their "A" game they might be able to but, from watching, I think they have been doing a lot of underperforming. They were supposed to have a good team this year and the Preseason polls had them ranked high. Even I thought they might be a little high too...even though I'm a J-town native. Anyways...next year they will be in the West region and I am definitely excited to see the rivalry with Minot get back...Bring out the dead rabbits and blue rubber chickens! And you also said that the Jamestown goalie might be able to play D-1 hockey...I think he is a great goalie but I think the scouts and all those people depend too much on the stats and his stats and teammates have not been there to back him up this year...
  9. Don't get me wrong he plays the 3rd line but I rarely see them... Any chance he might go 1-2-1-2-3? Ok and i mighta went a little far saying I hated him...I just don't agree with him...but I'm not wearing the fancy suits behind the benches
  10. 1. He plays his first and second lines throughout the game even when the score is a blow-out 2. He uses his players to make a name for himself 3. He talks down to every program that doesn't have the prestige that his program has. (thinks that all these other teams should be Jr. Gold AT BEST) In a 8-0 game or whatever in the 3rd period...why not get some depth on your team and give the 3rd and 4th lines experience. Playing your top 2 lines for an entire game is not what will win you state championships. You think Weisgarber, Campbell, Larson, Powers, Galt ...any of those guys can learn anything from goin out continually after the score is already a blow-out? I don't think so...why not put the younger players in for some game experience. It's just my opinion...
  11. Maybe since it's getting close to tournament time we should talk a little bit about who will get Mr. Hockey this year? I'd have to say Paul Weisgarber.....
  12. Definitely...South and Red River are the Top 2 teams. Hurts to say that cuz I hate Dean Wilson... Anybody else have any summaries of the games or predictions of upcoming games?
  13. Average shots on each goalie per game - EDC (shots...not saves..)...All based on Gillen's Website... Conway/Casey, Wahp - 45.7 Grothman, J - 37 Traynor, Shanley - 35.7 Welk, North - 32.7 Houkom/Guidinger, WF - 28.7 Kringstad, GPR - 27.2 Shane, GFC - 25 Rosendahl, RR - 21.4 Deichert, South - 17.9 Standings from Website G.F. Red River Fargo South Grafton/P. River West Fargo Fargo North Fargo Shanley Jamestown G.F. Central Wahpeton/Breck
  14. Too bad we couldn't find out how many of those are perimeter shots or icings or whatever...
  15. So many times in a year we criticize the goalie for 10-0 or 7-0 or whatever games and so many times they do all they can do. I guess what I am trying to say is that there has been a lot of speculation to who is the best goalie in the state - But what if Kringstad played for the lowly B-W Blades, what if Rosendal or Deichert played for a team like Bottineau or Jamestown. Would their stats still be in the 92-95% range? Do you think those goalies are that good or do you think their teams have a lot to do with that? I really don't feel that Deichert has been tested a whole lot averaging probably under 15 shots a game (haven't done the math). Don't get me wrong all these goalies are great but just tell me how you think they would do on weaker teams? Would they still be All-State or All-Conference Selections? I don't know if sometimes stats can reflect how a goalie does. Anybody else have any thoughts? ....(maybe a bit off topic i guess, but i always think about this)
  16. BHS over Hazen 3-2 South over Jamestown 8-1 DL over Bottineau 5-0
  17. I guess Galbreath must've had a pretty good game then huh..
  18. Ok here's my summary of the Red River/Jamestown game - There may have been a few questionable calls but I thought they kept control of the game pretty well. Red River dominated all of the play and Jamestown had probably 2 scoring chances (one breakaway goal). I thought Red River had a lot of scoring chances. Jamestown's goalie played pretty well and their D did a pretty good job clearing rebounds. That's probably why it was closer than expected. Did Mihulka score any goals. I know Meland got one...wasn't really listening to who scored other than that. Anything else? ....I don't know. 4-1 Red River
  19. Any Predictions on the games for tomorrow??? Minot at Hazen/Beulah Mandan at Wahpeton/Breck Jamestown at G.F. Red River Bismarck Century at Williston Dickinson at Devils Lake
  20. Jamestown beat Wahpeton 12-0....Thriller.......
