South and Bismarck play tonight in Fargo. Any predictions? South is coming off a tough loss to Moorhead last night. Is a letdown in store? Hillman played very well last year against South. Everybody seems to bring their "A" game against South, but I think South rebounds tonight and should handle Bismarck fairly easily. I will go with a 6-1 score.

You're probably right. He only uses the top two lines for specialty teams, so I was mistaken with the powerplay goal. Sorry.

I could be mistaken, might have been one of the first 2 and the third, but I do recall thinking why did they have the third line out against North's first. Not sure

If I remember correctly, North's first 2 goals came from their first line against South's third. It didn't appear south was trying to match lines, even though they had the last change. Since North's first line is easily their most dangerous, one would think South would concentrate on shutting them down. Just a thought.

Is the game at West Fargo or Grand Forks?

Graalum[sp?] had a hat trick. Other than that I'm not sure. I thought checking from behind was 2 and 10. Why did he get ejected?

South 9, North 3. Lots of penalties...again. What else is new this year! Most of the goals were either powerplay or shorthanded. Kinda sloppy.

Thats normal for South. They typically play only four D.

Weisgarber is definitely going to join the Jets. He was added to the roster before the deadline, so he can play in the remaining games. I don't know about Klenow though. I also heard that Mihulka maybe skating with the Jets too, but not certain.

It's my understanding once a player commits to a junior team, they can't play for team ND. They prefer to have only kids who haven't committed to any place since its mainly an exposure type of tournament. This would exclude both Weisgarber and Galt from South

Bismarck played Minot today, not Williston. Minot won 5-4 in OT.

The official who made that terrible call was Eslinger. I agree that was one of the worst calls I have ever seen. I usually don't gripe about the officials, but that was inexcusable. I hope who ever is in charge of the officials in this state take alook at that and at least reprimand him. I certainly hope he doesn't work anymore games in this tournament.

Just an interesting fact i heard on the news tonight.... That was Minots 13th straight 1st round loss tonight. (Sorry Wilber for posting this.)

Wow Grafton must be pretty happy with tonight. A nice win against Williston and then RR being close with BHS. I have a feeling Grafton might pull this one off.

To all of you who have been arguing, the EDC tounament doesn't even count compared to state. Does anyone talk about how South won the EDC last year? NO. But people do talk about the state champions. So lets wait to have this argument until Sat. night.
