Another wasted power play...

ANOTHER power play chance...

In no way, shape, or form am I trying to blame the refs... but does anyone else feel like the refs haven't been calling half of this stuff for the entire season and now all of a sudden they decided that they're gonna call everything?? Does our power play miss LaPoint this badly??

We aren't winning the little battles, much less the big battle. And Frattin needs to stay out of the box! Wisconsin gets the puck and we're just kinda of watching them skate around us. We get the puck and there are automatically two to three guys on us. We can't get any space to more. We need to pass it more to our own team. I realize that our lines are all screwed up with the Waktins injury (hope it isn't too serious) but we need to get soemthing figured out because this is not looking good. We've had some good chances, hopefully we can put one in early in the period and make a game out of this again. Just out of curiosity... if you do get a penalty shot, do you still get the power play or only one of the two?

I agree. I'm not sure what the stats are on our team... but as an upperclassmen defensemen your +/- rating, IMO, should be above zero. His being that low leads me to believe that he's not doing his job very well... but what do I know? EDIT: So I did my own research: Chay Genoway: +7 Joe Finley: +6 Derrick LaPoint: -1 Zach Jones: +2 Ben Blood: +10 Corey Finehage: -3 (9 GP) For those interested, VandeVelde leads the team with a +15

I'm very excited for the series and think it'll be great games! At the same time I'm sad because these will be my last live Sioux games for awhile and my last games at the Ralph for even longer I begin my training with the FAA March 31st and will be moving to Oklahoma and then Michigan. So I'm hoping for one last sweep at the Ralph before I leave! GO SIOUX!
