They announced that the puck did not cross the line. I am wondering if they mean that the puck didn't cross the line by the time we blew the whistle or what, cuz at the end of the replay the puck is in the back of the net. Tough to do without crossing the line....

I suppose I could rewind my DVR to see if this is a goal or not...refs are still looking.

That is because they had two power plays and we have had none.

Maine with an excellent chance but it was off the crossbar. Puck ended up in the net, but the whistle had already blown. Initial indication was no goal, but it is being looked at...

I can't remember what the first penalty was, but the second was for too many men. Mac seems to be playing very well on defense, Blood had some trouble on the penalty kill... I saw twice when he tried to clear the puck and it ended up going right to a Maine player. On the first penalty kill we had a good short handed chance with another chance right after the player got out of the box. The Sioux are looking good so far... getting some early pressure and Eidsness has had a strong start.

I guess I will use this as the game thread. 12 min left in the first, no score... the Sioux have already killed two penalties.

FIGHT!!! The goalie is laying spread eagle on the ice, the puck between his arm and body and a Sioux player jumps in there to try and knock it in and a Cougar player jumps on him. Knight with a penalty... he was the one who went after the puck. Slashing.
