  1. Where is Joe Finley? Said he's not on the active roster in South Carolina. Retire already?
  2. Where is Matt Jones playing this season?
  3. Lee is a hockey player. He can skate, shoot, and make a play. Finley is not a hockey player. He's just big. There are some of you guys that because he played at UND you have him on a pedestal. Lee didn't play to his potential at UND. Finley never had potential. That's the difference. Don't believe me? Watch him get sent the ECHL by mid-season.
  4. I can't believe you mention him in the same sentence as Greene and Commodore on here. He's a cakeeater. When he came to UND, it was okay to compare him to Greene and Commodore because he was huge and sucked just like those guys did when they got here. Now he just simply sucks, hurt or not. He doesn't have hockey skills and he's a rockhead on the ice (and recently proved he is off the ice too). He was drafted on his size and potential and he's a bust. Why do you think they moved him to forward? They already know he won't play D in the NHL. They'll try him at forward and he won't cut it there either. It's way too late to make that adjustment. Name one guy that's done it...
  5. If he plays in the NHL I'm never watching or attending a game again.
  6. http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/reillygofish (24) I've been to every state but North Dakota. WCHA Playoff series?

    Final 5

We're throwing a Fighting Sioux party at the Fox Sports Grill in Scottsdale, AZ for Friday's game. Should be a map on the link. http://www.foxsportsgrill.com/scottsdale/
  8. You'll have a 'chance' at his pants and gloves-they'll be at Play It Again Sports the day after the season. His days in GF are numbered. He'll be the best player in the NHL with Fighting Sioux ties. Mark my words (comments). Toews, Parise, Ludwig, Belfour.. Oshie will put UND on the map; if it hasn't been already. His peak is 4-6 years out and it'll be fun to watch! Get the NHL package!

  11. USA Hockey passed a mandatory rule that all coaches must wear helmets during practice. I don't like the idea. Any thoughts?

    Travis Roche

Think he still lives in Woodbury. He hit a hole-in-one and won 20,000 dollars (canadian) a couple weeks ago in Alberta.

    Tim and Swig

    Has Tim left the show?
  14. A little late, but Prpich doesn't deserve the 'A.' It should have been given to Stafford or Fabian months ago. Secondly, I wonder if the coaching staff has addressed Duncan's shot. I've never seen a college hockey player shoot it over the net more often in my life.

    David Hale

Nice fight. David nailed him twice before the guy even knew he was in a fight. http://www.hockeyfights.com/videos/ Hale vs Mair

  17. Wow. Didn't think I'd get so much hatemail over the spoiled comment. Here's my rationale... I think Oshie has looked like he's wants to be an impact player every shift. My spoiled comment derived from an embarassment Saturday night. I don't know how many people know, but they had practice without pucks Sunday morning at 8:45. They should've been skated into the ice for what happened not only at the end of that game, but also the effort throghout the game. They cried about it. Most of UND's players have been the best player on the team they last played on. Some of them are waiting to sign deals worth alot of $$$. They play in a $100+ arena. They act like it sometimes. From my perspective, they need to take a 'bluecollar' approach against teams like Denver(at times). They didn't. In any event, it's nice to see a kid that was drafted in the 1st round of the NHL draft bust his @ss every shift like it his last.
  18. Oshie has exemplified what it means to be a part of this team and it's tradition. Don't get me wrong, he's an extremly talented hockey player but if guys like Zajac, Stafford, Lee left it all on the ice like he does this team wouldn't lose a game. I hope it rubs off. I'm a big fan of TJ Oshie. I know it is early but I think some players on this team might be a spoiled and take things for granted.

    Captains?

I really believe Eric Fabian has a legitimate shot at being an "A" on this year's squad. His work ethic is fantastic, he excels in the classroom and goes out of his way for teammates and fans on a consistent basis. It's not always your most talented players that you want as captians.

    Phil Kessel

I'll agree with your comment regarding Stafford playing extremely well at the WJC but Kessel showed glimpses of beinging the most dominating player on the ice- at the same time the youngest. Stafford will never be that type of player. Being one of the greatest under 18 USA players of all-time, Kessell will be one for the ages. He'll be shadowed in the WCHA, but he has been his whole life. I'm sure he was a focus of his opponents at the WJC 18's and still walked away with the gold medal and the scoring title with ease.

    Phil Kessel

This kid might give the Sioux a run for their $$ by himself! http://www.usahockey.com/usa_hockey/intern...wc_gold_042405/ Kessel earned the IIHF Directorate Award as the most outstanding forward with a tournament best 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in six games. Note: second leading scorer had 8 pts.

    Nick Fuher

Has anyone heard the extent of Nick Fuher's eye injury? For those of you who haven't heard, Nick may have severely injured his eye while playing for the Utah Grizzlies against the Chicago Wolves last weekend. He was slashed in the face early in the game. He was immediatly flown to Phoenix to be operated on by the Coyotes' (NHL affliate) doctors. I heard that he could potentially lose his vision in one eye. Does anyone know anything for sure?
