  1. Sioux drop to #8 in the current Pairwise so right in the middle of the pack there. We will put together a streak of wins by the end of the season and be in good shape for the playoffs. I am glad that we are not playing our best hockey now. We are not playing that bad, not great, which leaves room for improvement. The season is still young and a lot of games left to play. I have seen many teams go with 1 or 2 losses late into the season, and only to see them stumble come playoff time. I hope other teams start thinking we are not that good. We will be fine people. Just relax a little bit. We have played some very good teams this year which will help us in the end.

  2. I have for sale 1 ticket for the Saturday game against Colorado College on November 3. This seat is located:

    Section 315, Row M (1 seat)

Seat number kept confidential until someone buys it. The face value is $25/ticket or will accept a best offer. I must get rid of this ticket or it will go to waste!

    Any questions, let me know!

Please call if interested as I am heading out to Grand Forks today.

  3. Will be making the trip with my wife out to Washington for the second year in a row to cheer on the Sioux! The sucky thing is there is no pregame party this year. Last years alumni pregame party was sooo fun with the all you can drink beer and food for a set price. Oh well, should be fun anyways!

  4. Wondering if anyone can help me out?? I found someone in Billings, MT to install a FTA system for me and he said I could order it myself or he could order it as well. I plan on getting a stationary one since it is cheaper system and it is cheaper to install. Can anyone tell me which is the best stationary system out there that I would need to get the Sioux games and if there is a particular place online that has good deals to get it, I would appreciate it! Thanks Everyone!!

  5. Well, just wanted to post this picture of a Gopher fan outside the Pepsi Center after we beat the Gophers. So great to see this. Just wanted to share.

  6. I emailed the Alumni Association and they said there is no official pre-game party, but this is what they posted on the website. Place is right next to the Pepsi Center:

  8. Would this new privately owned facility compete with the Fargodome and proposed new arena addition for events (revenue) when it is not being used for hockey? From the City of Fargo view of the expansion, they are hoping to capture more of the small events that are not going to the Fargodome. If there is another player in town for those events, their cut of the pie may get smaller.

Playmakers Pavilion in Fargo gets most of the smaller types of shows. I know more and more bands have been going to Playmakers to play so it will be interesting to see if the new arena can compete.

  10. Ok, my wife and I have looked through this entire post and seen all sorts of stuff on this satellite and have been quite overwhelmed. Can anyone or a few people sum it all up what we need to do to get the home games? We currently have cable and do not plan on getting satellite from a provider.

-Do you need a current satellite provider?

-Do you need to buy a receiver for the dish?

-How much does it cost for all the equipment needed and what all do you need?

-What kind of dish do you need?

-Should it be professionally installed and if so how much does that normally run?

-What kind of programming are you able to get and how much does it cost for the programming?

-How frequent do the satellites get changed and do the satellite dish positions need to be changed professionally and when this happens and do you need a new dish/equipment if the satellite changes?

If there is any other information you can provide outside the questions I asked, that would be great. We live in Montana if anyone has any information on any good satellite installers. Thanks everyone!

  11. I went to UND from 2001-2005 and I have the Ralph opening night puck as well as the 2002-2003 puck, the 2003-2004 puck and the 2004-2005 puck, but was wondering if they had a 2001-2002 puck other than the opening night puck and if so, does anyone have an extra one of these they would be willing to sell?

Also, I was wondering if anyone has an extra 2005-2006 hockey puck that they would be willing to sell, assuming they sold one?

Also, do they have a 2006-2007 puck yet at the Sioux Shop? I looked online but did not see on on their website.

Thanks a bunch for your help!

  12. I did some emailing and checking around and here are the on-sale dates for the Sioux and teams the Sioux play in hockey this season:

    • Colorado College - September 1
    • Denver - September 9
    • North Dakota - September 16
    • St. Cloud - September 18
    • Minnesota - September 23
    • Wisonsin - 2006 Games - September 25 / 2007 Games - November 13
    • Dartmouth Tourney - October 1
    • Alaska Anchorage - October 2
    • MSU Mankato - October 2
    • Bemidji State - I called the ticket office and they said they probably would not be selling single game tickets until after the first game. They like to make sure that everyone who wants season tickets gets them, so they get the best seats, before selling any single game tickets. She did say that they are taking names for people who want tickets for the North Dakota game so they can get a hold of those individuals when the single game seats go on sale.

    GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. My wife and I will heading out to the Central Washington game as we live in Montana and have family out in Western Idaho. I am looking forward to watching the Sioux play live again. It's been a while. GO SIOUX!!!
