Went to the Bob Seger concert at the XL last week, it was awesome. Seger has a lot of great songs.

Red at Wahpeton has leveled off as it is starting to at Hixon as well. Wild Rice at Abercrombie is starting to level off today as well. Crest will be before Sunday and lower IMO what the NSW predicted. Leaving for the Frozen 4 at noon. No worries here.
In Walaker we trust!
Walaker has done a good job for a lot of years, but there have been many people that have done a good job. We live in Meadow Creek...2 years ago the flood preparation was well organized, but very choatic...this year the waters are close to the same and the neighborhood is going on like nothing is happening.
Oxbow6...Have a blast today at the game, hopefully we'll be down in St. Paul Saturday...GO SIOUX

As far as the radio show goes. He will be great at professional sports, particularly baseball. He will be very good at the local and national college sports scene, as well as High School sports. UND fans need to understand up front that he is not going to break down the Sioux hockey team, he will need to rely on others to fill that void...he is definitely not a hockey guy.
Classy post Johnny Five, but Jack Michaels seems knowledgeable about hockey. For his 1st show today, he had Mike Peluso(Minnesota-Duluth), Justin Theel(Notre Dame) & Mitch Vig(UND) on to talk about the Frozen Four, he seemed to know what he was talking about. Jack looks to be very well rounded, looking forward to having him here in Fargo and doing Fighting Sioux football this fall.

I'd like to be on the list...701-361-4000.

Great job Frank...you spoke for a lot of us. I think Brian Faison is a good person, but he doesn't understand what the Fighting Sioux name means to a great majority of us that went to the University of North Dakota. The simple fact is, we are proud of the Fighting Sioux name.

There was a racial incident a couple months ago...don't remember what it was about. But both Fox and MSNBC had Sharpton on that night as the Elder Statesman/Voice of reason. And he actually did sound reasonable. I was impressed.
Sharpton can actually be reasonable at times and is a funny guy...then he has to make money and do what he does.

What is Racist? JESSE JACKSON & AL SHARPTON

Lack of credibility, as it is all politics, much like the bill itself.
This whole mess started in 2005 with politics, thank you very much Myles Brand.
-
Correct but which way do you think most are leaning now?
Let's see...Kelly can't "remember" with Douple and has "no idea whatsoever" on the potential costs to clean up the Ralph from the Sioux issue.
Now he is shipping people to Bismarck to help get the name and logo finished off.
You do the math...
From what I've read on this board & what I've learned elsewhere, there's no question President Kelley wanted to get rid of the Fighting Sioux name. I still can't believe the name has a chance of staying with the University of North Dakota, a couple weeks ago I thought there was no chance.

I'm no UND supporter
Really

Between the House & Senate you have a 93-43 vote total...that says it all. I'm very proud of our State, we didn't bow down to political correctness...unbelieveable.

I have 3 Suite Tickets for Saturday night...I'm asking for $25 per ticket, so $75 for all 3
-
Watched the game on TV last night, counted 6 kids whose father I had played hockey with in Grafton in the late 1970's. What a Great Tradition GPR has maintained...GO SPOILERS.
-
Tickets are sold...Thanks
-
Just found out my son has a hockey game here in Fargo the same time of the Sioux game on Sunday. I am asking $75 for the 3 tickets...the tickets are with me in Fargo.

This seems to be a bit of good news.

Its a nickname for goodness sakes. Should it be the number 1 Priority? Seems crazy, no matter how much fans want to bow down to the nickname.
From your point of view it may seem crazy, from mine it seems crazy not to fight for the Fighting Sioux name. I've been around the Sioux name for close to 50 years, the University of North Dakota has embraced the name and did more for Native Americans than any University in our area by far for 80 years. This whole thing was started by the NCAA, how do they know how things work up here? So now we need approval of 2 tribes...Spirit Lake approves by a large margin...Standing Rock would do the same if given the chance, we all know how crooked that operation was.
Herd...It's very easy to come on this board and spout out "It's a nickname for goodness sake", espically when you're an NDSU fan. For a lot of us it's very special, my 8 year old boy keeps asking me "why do we have to get rid of the Fighting Sioux name?". I really don't know how to answer that question. I pray common sense and "what's right is right" prevails.

Scott Hennen is having Dr. Kelley on 1100 radio coming up.
-
So who do we believe: President Kelley vs Douple or Kolpack? I choose President Kelley. Douple is feeling snubbed and rejected. He now has the Big Sky footprint at his backdoor. Kolpack, well his bias speaks for itself.
Today would be a good day for President Kelley to step to the plate. We all know the Fighting Sioux nickname is hanging on by a thread, why not try get yourself in good graces with the 90%+ of UND students & alumni that want to keep the name? The facts are all there...the NCAA needs the support of 2 tribes-Spirit Lake overwhelming supports it, Standing Rock would do the same if given the opportunity. Obviously President Kelley doesn't have the emotion that a lot of us do, but he does have the power to make things happen. With the recent headlines, I would recommend President Kelley do something.

I believe the potential title of Senator will trump potential title of Governor.
He, IMO, would win either race...a senate seat will be too tough to pass up.
You may be right...Politics(Senate & House) in North Dakota has changed dramatically the past few months.
-
If true, I'd put my money on Drew Wrigley filling his vacancy.
I think Drew Wrigley will be our Governor in 2012.
-
Hextall back in the line-up along with Nelson and forbort! Go Sioux!!
Direct tv - 617
That's great news, hopefully Gregoire can get back in the lineup soon.
I see the game is on Directv 617 tonight...they don't show anything for tomorrow(Saturday) night though. Anyone know if it's on Directv tomorrow?
UND in the Big Sky
in NCAA News
Posted
The NCAA is just too powerful. I'd say I'm a hockey guy 1st, but very supportive of all sports at UND. This opportunity to be in the Big Sky is just too big, the NCAA has the trump card. Things could have been different with a vote at Standing Rock or our leadership would have been supportive of the Fighting Sioux name. President Kelley & the NCAA are liberal thinking people, they know what's best for everyone.
Political Correctness has taken over this country like wildfire the past few years. If we have to give up the greatest nickname & logo in the country, I hope we just go with the University of North Dakota. President Kelley seems like a nice person, but people will never forget how he handled the Fighting Sioux nickname issue. I don't think I'm alone on this.
