They are on DirecTV?all hockey games produced by Midco (home games) are on Fox College Sports this year (like previous years)

After the 1st 4 games, the teams the Bison have played have a combined record of 3-16. You would think they would have nipped this in the butt right away and dealt with suspensions a month ago.

I really don't understand this way of thinking. The guy donates millions of $$$ to the college you seem to support. The USA is a land of opportunity(at least it was at one time), Harold Hamm was a guy who started with nothing and acheived the American dream. watchmaker49...I don't think there's any question your bringing a political issue into a great donation to the University of North Dakota.Isn't this the same guy who was funding Hennen and Schafer trying to cut the oil tax and dry up the ND coffers for his own gain?

So, why did you post a message in the first place if you didn't want people to reply?
It's an FCS forum not a UND forum. When you post a smack-talk message (which your post ultimately was) you have to expect that more people will disagree with you than not. The reason only Bison fans responded is that, on that website, only Bison fans have strong enough opinions about UND to even bother to respond.
I don't see the smack-talk message...darell1976 simply posted stats that told both the good & bad of the North Dakota football team in the 1st 3 games.

5 years later and the only rink we have at the Urban Plains Site is the Scheels Arena. Rumor has it that the 4 youth rinks are moving in the right direction.

With 15000 folks out there on a Saturday in Fargo, I'd have thought the majority would have chosen to see the great "rivalry" game and not junior hockey or "sports entertainment". The Force were sold out. WWE had about 1000 seats open (see source). NDSU had about 1000 seats open.
I was at the Force game Saturday night, we got there early. Some friends made it in just before they cut off ticket sales, sounds like there was a big line behind them. Great to see the Force playing well and the fans getting behind them.

Watched the Blues 4-2 Win over the Ducks last night...TJ Oshie scored 2 goals, Chris Porter scored 1 goal. After the game they interviewed both Oshie & Porter, they then sent the broadcast back upstairs where they joked that this isn't a Fighting Sioux broadcast. They preceded to give the University of North Dakota hockey program some high praise...way to represent boys.

Fargo is making the change to the ADM System this year. The Bantam, Pee Wee & Squirts will all go under the Fargo Freeze name instead of the Flyers & Raiders. The Angels will still be the Angels.

The Bison were better in every phase of that game, the Gophers are terrible. I'm sure a lot of Bison fans had a great time in Minneapolis taking out the Gophers on their home turf, but Coach Bohl knows he has tougher competition coming up in the MVC. Personally I'm not a fan of Bohl's, but he's a good coach & will make sure his players know that this was not that big of a win in the big picture.
Hopefully the Sioux can take strides in getting themselves better, which they seem do be doing. Can you imagine how big the Sioux/Bison game will be when they play in a couple years? Of course by then we won't be called the Sioux.

Under no circumstance would I ever cheer for UND. So I cannot blame anyone for not cheering for the Herd.
I totally get what you're saying, except the other way around. Living in Fargo the past 21 years, I've obviously got a lot of friends who are Bison fans. I've tried to cheer for the Bison, to no avail.

JohnboyND7...aka bro. Jonathan Toews is to the the NHL what Kobe Bryant is to the NBA, could you imagine if Kobe would have played his college days at NDSU? Did you know Drew Stafford signed a $20 Million contract this summer out in Buffalo? If any former Bison athelete signed a contract of that magnitude the Teammakers chests would be out bigger than Pamela Anderson's. TJ Oshie was voted the most popular athelete in St. Louis, that includes Albert Pujols, Steven Jackson and yes even Craig Dahl.

I think the Vikings are going to be ok. Getting Donovan McNabb and getting rid of Tavaris Jackson was a great move. I say the Vikes go 11-5 this year and win the Super Bowl.

DEMOCRACY is a form of government in which all eligible people have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives. Don't see that happening with this issue. I'm as upset as anyone with the name change, but the people of Spirit Lake & Standing Rock must be furious.

I didn't read all the responses(567), but it looks like most of the country is in support of the Fighting Sioux nickname. We know the majority of Native Americans are in favor, most all Americans are in favor...how does the NCAA get away with what their doing?

Maybe we should boil this down to this:
The world's climate is changing - (it has been changing since year 1)
Here's the questions:
Does the minuscule amount of greenhouse gases that are man made (as a % of all greenhouse gases) causing climate change? (I highly doubt it)
Does man have a way to stop climate change? (No way - nothing I've seen by any climate scientist has shown we can)
We do need to be good stewards of our planet but let's do what's right and skip the pseudoscience.

I'm a die hard Sioux fan and I don't agree that it's a farce. I think there is plenty of scientific evidence that shows that there is something to the theory of global warming.
But, I'm not here to debate this. I only come here to show support and discuss Sioux sports.
My point: Don't lump us all together pal.
It just pisses me off that these politians use Global Warming to further their agenda. I've been in the transportation business for over 30 years. I'm sure you know nothing of a $9000 tax they put on new trucks or all the things our current administration is doing to put us out of business. Of the CO2 total 96% in naturally occuring. So man made CO2 is about .12% of all Greehouse gases. And we're the problem??
