Sioux shooting 37% from the field. 1-8 from 3's Wilmer and Mitchell have 7. Bison shooting 36%. Sioux bench outscoring NDSU 17-8. NDSU outrebounding UND 24-20. Carlson has 8 for the Bison. Just four turnovers apiece for the teams.

Sioux are hanging nicely with a good team. Just think if we had someone that could actually shoot taking all of those three point attempts. Hopefully they can keep it up in the second half.

Seems like there is a foul on every possession. THe way NDSU is shooting free throws, probably not a bad idea. NDSU play-by-play dude says not an empty seat in the house.

I don't know, they're not playing all that great. Shooting 33%, and settling for long jump shots. Wilmer has been our best player on the floor the last 3 minutes.

So at what point does the WAC start looking more closely at Seattle, and then even Utah Valley and UT-PanAm? It seems to me they are approaching a point where they just need any warm bodies to join. Lamar has to be in the cross-hairs now don't they?

The RPI ratings can be a bit unreliable this early in the year, but based on today's RPI, NDSU (57) has the second highest rating of any team on our entire schedule following only Wisconsin (53).

I'm also curious about what they will do with the basketball schedule......................... Full round-robin 20 game schedule, or some sort of unbalanced schedule? There are 3 DI leagues playing with 11 this season: The Big 10, Atlantic Sun, and Ohio Valley. Big 10 Model: 18 conference games, 8 home-and-home, 2 singles Atlantic Sun Model: Full round-robin 20 game schedule OVC: Don't know yet..........SIU-Edwarsville isn't playing a conference schedule yet I kind of like the idea of the unbalanced 18 game schedule. I know there is an argument to be made about not playing everybody the same amount of times when detemining a regular season champion, but it will be done on the football side, it is done in CAA football, and it is done in the WCHA. It'll allow all teams to schedule more regional non-conference games with WAC, MWC, Summit, Pac-12 and Big 10 schools, and limit travel somewhat.

Petey23 brought this up in the recruiting thread, but UND will open the season against Drake, on the Thursday before Labor Day.

That's what we need to do every game. Unfortunately, outside shooting has not been a real strength of this team so far.
