  1. I dont know how you can over look Kiap as being at least an alternate captain if not the captain. His heart and soul is in this team. He was the one who said enough is enough in the Alaska series. That is when this team found some toughness and started to play Sioux hockey. Then 2 weeks later he took a Mankato players 2 best shots in the face, for THE TEAM, not because he likes to get hit in the face. Kaip my not rack up the points but he is a very important part of this team. He is a senior and a proven leader and has the respect of his team mates. Kaip has my vote for captain with A "s going to chorney ,duncan and watkins.
  2. I ll try this again. #1 osh dunc ? trupp if he is the real deal #2 watty vandy kaip he may have to play wing, he has shown he can shoot and score and can play with energy and he is tough # 3 zajac martens miller #4 fourny hextall hamilton/ hextall the d will be the same except insert radke for lee {gone}
  3. who has been doing our pk tonite?
  4. I thought Kaip had a good game last night and he and Fabien were doing pk. Are they they not getting a regular shift tonite?
  5. has an one heard if another station will pick up tonites game? maybe tsn from canada ?
  6. with all the penalties tonite. who has been doing all p.killing? were Fabien , Kaip and Martens playing physical tonite?
  7. what are the games time for the weekend?
  8. It ll be marvin or foyt. And keep kozak , watkins and kaip together. They are playing well together and are getting chances. If they break up these three , to make a solid checking line that ll be tough to play against, then it ll be kaip. He is the most solid defensive player. And all though he has not scored, he is tough in the corners and has been geting the puck out to his line mates.
  9. I have been at all home games and several road games and i fully agree with you. if you cant contol your own end, getting out of it is even harder. our young defence has taken turns struggleing , with exception of smaby and chorney. our centres seems to always have to come back deep and help out, then when we do breakout its at best a 2 on 2. also we need to keep a forward high in the ofenceive zone to allow our d men to cheat a little to keep pucks the zone. too many 3 on 2s against us as well. there been some talk of kaip in the past but i think he has played 5 solid games in a row. he has not got on the score sheet much, but he is as good defenceivly as we got. when games get tough as they have against mankato i like to have him on our side. also maybe a kaip pirph kozak[ a good shooter] might produce a little more. i think zajak and staford are tired by the 3rd period , how can they play every pp and pk and regular shift, some double shift . kaip played pk the first half of the year and did very well, why not use him more now, in a defencive roll, and and get more milage oue of zajak and staford on the offence. i dont think we re out of this yet.
  10. i think kaip is working hard as well. defencivly i think he is as sound as almost anyone. for haveing only 2 points and still only being minus 1 ,is not bad. many players who suffer from pcs take a lot longer for there ofencive ability to come back , paul kayria was one. his first 4- 5 gmes last year he showed a lot of promise. hopefully the coaches will continue to show confedence in him as this seems to be what he may now lack. he does bring a physical presence to this team. the big ice surface does not enhance kaip or mike p. style of play. i think kaip will be fine , he had a tough injury and it appears he is working hard to battle through it. i too like his ability to play with an edge , he has all the tools he can skate ,hit, shoot , he just needs to put it all back together. he wasnt drafted or recruited here to be a 4th liner. i thought he had a good 3rd period. anyways good win .
  11. i didnt here what hak said about radke and kaip ,could you repeat please? was it after last nites game?

    Kaip is returning,he has been symtom free for over 2 months and has been doing full work outs with no problems. The true test will be contact but a full recvery seems likely.
  15. Up date on Kaip. He has been symptom free for over 8 weeks and has been cleared to resume to full activity. He has been doing full work outs with the team for over 2 weeks with no problems. Every indication is a full recovery ,god willing. I think he had great start last fall with solid games in the fisrt two series, apparently as early as then pcs started to show up. I expect him to be a key player this fall.
  16. There is no doubt Kaip is a Player. It's easy to see he has all the tools to play at this level. He suffered a concussion before the season started at a practice. He probably started back too early but you could feel physically well though the brain may be still bruised. With his style of play it's very possible he suffered a few small concussions when he was making the big hits. Prior to this season, he has never had a concussion. Hopefully, he will make a full recovery and we will get to see what a healthy Rylan Kaip can do.
  17. thanks for the update, sure tough to be a fan and not get audio at least..
  18. kaip can play a gritty game , is he getting much ice time?
