The rules specifically state a goalie can't be an on-ice captain. BUT the C the team gives is not a binding contract to make them the on-ice captain, so you can still have a goalie be your team-elected captain and designate someone else to be the on-ice captain. HOWEVER the craziness is always a factor.

I agree Do you think they would make a goalie a captain? That is a LOT of pressure and responsibility on one person.

I wasn't sure how old you were, so I didn't want to call you old or young or middle aged if you weren't. Didn't want to assume, because you know what happens when you assume... But I still think you're misunderstanding me on this one... I would "hypothetically" purchase RSP stuff b/c it was a horrible BAND, not b/c they are hockey players. I only found out about the horrible band b/c they play hockey. However, my motive is different from most people's motives. Even if said RSP merch did exist, I wouldn't be able to get it, anyway, as I don't live in GF. I don't put in an effort for stupid crap that will make me laugh once, like getting my BF a "Terry Mulholland is my Non-Sexual Man-Crush" shirt. Good thing they go to UND.

Siouxtatoo, I don't know how old you are, and if you are my age, forgive me, but people in my age range (early 20s) often buy things we KNOW are ridiculous, for the sheer ridiculousness of it. My friends went to Louisiana for the Sugar Bowl when I was a freshman, and they bought a whole bunch of Arkansas stuff, simply because it said Arkansas on it. I would consider owning RSP merchandise for the sheer hilarity of it. However, I would only pay like $5, and it would have to be very convenient for me to get (i.e. I would never go to Grand Forks or order online or anything for some stupid shirt). I think there's *ahem* one person on this thread that's serious about getting the merchandise for a serious reason, and then some other people who are serious about getting the merchandise for totally stupid reasons, and then some other people who are kidding about getting stuff at all.
