just wondering if any one can help me find reliable articles online or in the paper about the sioux nickname debate...i have to write an argumentative paper for my college english class and was lookin for some help...anything would be great!

are there any restaurants like (bww's, applebees, green mill...etc) showing the games.??....its a huge series and i don't have direct tv so i need to find a place to watch the game

Does anyone know if there will be a fan meet and greet at REA sometime in the next couple of weeks to congratulate the team on a terrific season?? I know they did it last year after the sioux were runners up in columbus....hope they do it again this year too....!

We're playing teams that are not good offensively? Look at the number of shots that Parise had to stop in his first shutout against Miami and the reasonable amount of shots against Northeastern...they obviously had taken some quality shots on net if a goaltender has to stop 37 shots on goal (and what was it?...19) to get a shutout....give parise the credit...he's an awesome goaltender...and he obviously has the focus that our other goaltender is lacking right now... I hope Parise is nominated at the end of the year for the Hobey award...compared to other goalies in the league he's right up there with the best of them!

Congrats to Jordan Parise on his WCHA honor this week....he played great on Saturday to give the Sioux there only win out of the weekend....started right where he left off last season....Go Sioux!

Does anyone have photos from any of the Sweden games...I have pics of when they played Canada but I would love more photos!! Even the exhibition games would be nice too!! Does anyone have photos of the game when Linus Persson scored two goals for Sweden...i would love to have some of those... If someone could help me out I would appreciate it! Let me know

Thats a sucky way to end your senior year....I would have loved to see Jake in net more...he was solid in goal last year. Will he still be on the bench during games? Is he allowed to skate with the team once his shoulder is better or is he just pretty much done.

Phil is also hot. I saw him at the Y this summer several times....he's so nice, very friendly....he's such a cutie!! Come on...honestly I thought a lot more people would have more confidence in the hockey team....geez. I see them having a huge improvement in goals scored and goals allowed/game after Xmas break and we're gonna win the cup by 4+ points! Watch my smoke! lol

I expected the team to do well, obviously not as well as last year with the loss of Parise and Bochenski but I didn't think Hakstol was a terrible choice for coach. He started off great with a 4-0-1 record. I think the team is gonna do fine....its early! Your right! With Zach and Brandon here, the team would be GREAT! People like Stafford, Quinn Fllying, and James Massen need to step up. I think the series against St. Cloud was just the beginning of a serious title run. I thought they played well and finally got the puck into the net! They need to be consistent with goaltending also. Phil has been doing awesome so far but Jordan needs to have better games...he's averaging almost three goals a game. With the offense only averaging 2 goals per game, he can't afford to let in three per game. He needs to have a some solid games in the upcoming weeks. You never know, the team could have a complete turnaround after the Xmas break. They've had a tough schedule so far with away games at Boston College, Maine, and Wisconsin. They have an easy schedule(at least most people would THINK it should be easy) ahead with series vs. Tech and Anchorage. The team needs to show some spark and win those games. Who knows, but we could be the ones holding a championship trophy in April! Theres lots of season left and anything can happen.

Does any one know who Hakstol is starting in goal on Friday night? Also did he bring all three goalies on the trip or did he leave someone at home. I think it's time Brandt got a start in net. What are they gonna do if Phil or Jordan has a season ending injury. Brandt will be expected to come in and perform well. Hakstol has to play him soon. It's been a while since he had a start.

It said in the Herald today that Jordan got a head injury in practice. Did anyone hear what happened and is he able to play this weekend? I also heard that Schneider got hurt too but I didn't catch what happened to him? Does anyone know his status? Hopefully they are both able to play this weekend! But maybe this will give some freshman the chance to step up!
