Jason played football for me in high school. He was the starting qb and played with Chris Kuper. He is one of the toughest, most competitive kid I have ever coached. I think he could play for the sioux an be pretty successful, but I think he is looking for a school closer to home...Western State or a west coast school.

UND Fan, My middle son is a Junior in high school this year. He is 6'1" 270 lbs and is interested in UND. This year there is a kid from North Pole AK that I heard was being recruited. He plays RB and this so far has rushed for 2200 yds and 33 TD's. On Sat. he played against the best "D" in the state and rushed for 331 yds and 6 TD's. There are probably a bunch of D1 AA and D1A Schools looking at him but we can hope for the best. There are 10-15 players that I can think of in the state that could play for UND. We have a bunch of kids that go to Minn-Crookston, I can think of 3 that I have coached in the last 5 years. We also send a bunch to Valley City every year, Black Hills State, and other ND and SD schools. I am finally getting an opportunity to come down and see a game on Oct 16th and Nov 6th and of course when we go to Florence. Can't wait to start the tailgating.

Bison, The High Schools up here in the Anchorage area have approximately 2200-2400 student. Graduating classes have 600 kids. We have a small school league (less than 2000 students) and a Large school conference (2000 +) The school Chris played at and I coach is the large school conference.What about your schools?

Bison -Yes we do play football in Alaska. As a matter of fact when Chris was a senior in High School we were ranked 10th in the western region by USA Today. The western region included schools like De La Salle, St Louis (Hawaii), Kahuku and a few other powerhouses. Chris was seriously recruited by a a few DI schools Oregon, Reno, Colorado and DI AA schools but Chris wanted to start by his sophomore year. UND did a great job , and they have honored every promise they made. The people in ND SD and Minnesota are a lot like Alaskans, the are very friendly and just wonderful people. It was very easy for Chris' mother and I to let him go because of the people we met on his recruiting visit. 2 national Championship games and hopefully 1 or 2 more just enforces the fact that we made the right choice

Neverlost- I don't think you need to worry about the O-line or Grossman... time will tell . From what I know they have reloaded vs rebuilding and all mentioned above will be just fine.. Mussman does a great job with these kids and I know that Greg Lotysz works with a few of these guys on his own time.
