chartered flights, catered meals on board, not pizza boxes is what summit league wbb teams do to give their coaches a better chance of winning not
-
hire a private jet and its all yours

you obviously dont get it.... sdsu charters a flight to oral roberts leaves brookings just in time to practice on away court then hotel then game next day then immediately charters flight hour after game is completed back in their own beds 3 hours after game is completed, und charters a bus to fargo leaves when the only flight out that day works lays over in minneapolis or denver just to get to oral roberts 10 15 hours later, then instead of chartering flight home in your own bed 3 hours after the game that night its back to the hotel because a commercial flight doesnt leave until next day then layover in minneapolis then after charter bus fromfargo finaly home 24 hours after your last game, sdsu was home from playing same school 3 hours after oral roberts game 30 hours of travel plus extra night in hotel vs sdsu 6hours travel extra night in own bed, ncaa requires mandatory off day after game, und off day is spent 15 hours travel, sdsu off day spent at home in their own space, is it really that hard to figure out which scenario helps you win

well why dont you ask the athletic department for a spreadsheet of the wbb programs budget for the 25 26 season and then in your head compare those expenditures vs what bringing a top tier summit league experienced contracted coach in and 3 or 4 top paid d1 assistants with extensive experince at the the level and that would demand better nutritionists dobos athletic trainers strength coaches bigger budget for training table meals all year like every other summit league team gets off season and summer workouts included not just pizza after the game like it is here, no meals provided here off season or summer, chartered flights instead of charter bus to fargo to save on commercial tickets vs paying grand forks ticket prices just to save a few bucks, add all those up what a an incoming coach with any experience at all would demand before excepting the position and its pretty common sense that those demands would easily cost the athletic department a half a million dollars a year more than they paid in 25 26.... yes most summit league schools charter flights und takes a charter bus ti fargo and back to save on ticket prices vs using its own airport, none of which they tell you in a recruiting visit and when you ask about training table and catered once a day meals when the student athlete is in the building they say of course we do what all the other summit league schools do and then they take and show you the cafeteria in the mens hockey locker room and tell you that all comes from here, well ill leave it to your imigination how times in 25 26 that happened, all lies

you're exactly right that million and half they will save in 3 years means more to them than investing in the wbb program right now, problem is they need to quit lieing to the recruits and their parents on recruiting visits how important wbb is on the priority list and how much the school and its donors are investing in wbb, bold look you right in the face lies, they know exactly how much their saving on an interim head coach with no 5 or 6 year contract and a staff with no d1 experience so your righr if he isnt given the 3 years they cant save the rest of the million and a half dollars
-
if this was his salary after 20 years at mayville u might be right about his starting salary at und being pro bono

long term 3 year length contracts are mandatory releases for a public institutions sports program at the d1 level... the reason no contract has been disclosed is because their isnt one.. which would lead anyone that knows anyrhing to believe hes hired on an interim yearly bases and on the cheap as well as his staff... no coach in their right mind except this one accepts a wbb d1 coaching job without at least a 3 year contract gauranteed money... it isnt about performance for this AD its about saving money snd if this coach doesnt show much improvement by year 2 or 3 at least the university will have saved between a million to a million and a half dollars on this hire... any ad in the country would lick his chops to hire s head coach interimly with no gauranteed contract to rob funds from a program low on te totem pole to use that million on hockey and football he does care about... its not rocket science just simple math
-
or one or 2 of his assistants who dont wanna be here will apply
-
of course he doesnt think it needs to be addressed he was a coached hired on an interim low budget annual basis with no long term contract and low budget assistants with little d1 experiance to pay, hiring a new coach and new assistants with extensive d1 experience would likely cost a half a million more annually than what hes currently paying now, if the AD can ride this storm out for another year or 2 without serious pressure to replace him he can save that million to million and a half for hockey and football... the AD doesnt care that much about womens sports hes looking at the 1.5 million trade off that hes obviously willing to take right now... its not about whats doing right for players involved its about the money he can save
-
if your in the know its actually more toxic mysoginistic verbally and mentally abusive than they describe, i stand firmly on my former comment that 2 3 assistant coaches will not be with this team by next season, if you were any type of human at all you couldnt sit and watch the toxicity without saying to yourself this isnt right i cant support this anymore
-
the AD isnt involved in an exit interview
-
u speak of this like many of these players are staying with this coach when the portal opens..... judging by how horrible their experince was alot of these players will be transferring out of this trainwreck of a program... time will soon tell... guessing 5 players total stay... guessing a couple assistants or 3 will also choose not to be associated with the trainwreck by the time next season rolls around as well
