  1. Hey Triouxper - was this what you meant when you were talking about "Skippy"?
  2. Seriously going off topic but it reminds me of a Milton Berle story. It was rumored that Berle had the largerst unit in show business. One day some guy challenges him to "Whip it out" and prove it. Berle said he would, but he would "Only take out enough to win" Classic.
  3. My Bad. Must of got my dander up a little. Soryy bout that.
  4. No problem. See you in St. Paul
  5. Well, if that is what you want to believe, that is cool by me. If you look up my posts, you will find quite the opposite though. Most of them were in support of keeping the Sioux name, a couple were to sell Tickets to last years Badger Sioux game so y'all would not have to sit in the upper level, and the balance were on this thread. I just came up this time, as we do not have a series this weekend and wanted to get a spin on yours. Cripes, I hope the Minny fans are not as sensitve as you 2 are right now. All I said was right or wrong, Kessel and Irmen did the same thing as Chorney and Lammy. So if your are flaming Kessel now, I hoped you flamed Chorney and Lammy then. Personally, I do not think any of the 4 have it coming, but that is just me.
  6. I don't recall saying that you excused them, (if I did, I guess I am blind) but I am saying that if you wether you condone Kessel and Irmen, Chroney and Lammy will sink or float in the same boat. So in your own delusional and parochial way, you are agreeing with what I said. Will wonders never cease? ps, what is a skippy?
  7. Sioux not make the Tourney? I doubt it. It is kind of like the Yankees in the playoffs. They just have to be there. They will win enough games the rest of the season along with the final five to get in.
  8. If you want to put Chorney and Lammy on your pile of dung, I guess it's your perogitvie. If Irmen and Kessel are on the heap, then they will have a couple of Sioux to keep them company. I still fail to see that it is that big of a deal.
  9. Sure he got booed. Once, maybe twice but not every time he touched the puck. The fans in Minny don't boo CC's Sertich every time he plays there, Or Alaska's Beaverson, Schwartz from Tech, Or Sconny's Licari or any of the the 11 Minnesotans on the Sioux Roster. Well, at least not for being from Minnesota, anyway I did not have a problem with the Jersey pull from Irmen. He does not do it all the time, in fact just once. Same with Kessel. I don't think Lamy does it all the time either. It was humerous, it's done. I spend most of the time on the Gopherboard, but if it was a sconny doing it to my club on my ice while we were being swept, I would be a lot more frustraed with my club than the opposing player.
  10. As a Gopher fan, I have to disagree on being in the same class as Sconny. They came into our building and out -everythinged us. It looked like a college team against a good high school team. I think your club will be fine. I still expect the Sioux to start round one of the WCHA at home, and bring a crapload of people to St. Paul in March.
  11. Wow, that hurt a little (not too much but a little ) I think the majority of the Gopher fans tend to believe that the NCAA is out of line, and to allow FSU, to keep theirs, and ban yours is about as hypocritical as you can get. On another note, I read the letter that Kupchella wrote to the NCAA. Any chance that the shots he took at them, caused the denial of the appeal? ( I thought it was a pretty thorough letter, and more importantly, impeccable with his logic) Good luck with the logo, and see you this fall.
  12. For what it is worth, I am sickened by the NCAA attempt at.... Well, I am not really sure what they are attempting. I think they are going down a road that should not be traveled. To selectively legislate school names and Logo's (I do not think you have a mascott, do you?) based on grounds that are liquid at best makes me Ill. On a personal level, I have always liked the logo, and I can't recall feeling hostile toward any natives, unless they were wearing the green and white, and in Marriuci Arena. I hope that the issue is carried farther to the courts, where I am pretty confident the rule will be declared void. Good luck (of course, it would be kind of enjoyable as a Gopher fan to see a Gophers/Flickertails border battle!) - I can't believe I am going to say this, but - GO SIOUX!
  13. We now have 2 tix left for Friday and Saturday. C'mon Sioux! The Gophs lost Potulny, Koalska, Riddle and Ballard, and we are all psyched for the year! It can't be that hard to replace Parise and Bo! It ain't rebuild, it's reload!
  14. A few of you have asked if I will split them up into 2's or 4's. That is not a problem.
  15. Hey all you Sioux Fans, I ordered my Gopher Badger Tickets, but had to buy another package to get decent seats. So to see my beloved Goph's beat up on the red devils, I bought 8 seats so you can see the Green beat up the red on November 11 and 12. I do not have seat locations yet, but here is what they are saying - "Tickets in Reserved seating (100 and 200 levels, plus the first 3 rows in the 300 level) are priced at the regular single game price." I just need face on these, so let me know if you are interested. Mike
