If we're talking beer Hofbräu is king

I love American IPAs, but it is really, really hard to beat a fresh, well looked after draught Guinness (and it's almost undrinkable if it's stale and abused) - the best are found in Dublin, especially at the St. James Gate brewery.

The side view shows he had two hands on it and stopped the momentum of the ball and then reversed the momentum back toward the line. I'd say he had control (hence possession) of the ball.

And my principal point is that it takes slowed down replay (and as you point out, a particular angle) to see (infer?) that, but at full speed I bet it is nearly indistinguishable and as such hardly establishes possession IMHO.

SFI just posted a replay of the play...

My problem with this is that the quarterback should need to establish possession before "passing" it forward - I'm not sure that slowed down replay demonstrates that possession had been established - and if that's not the rule, it should be.

Well seeing that hip hop is a multi-billion dollar industry consumed the world wide by people from all walks of life, I would beg to differ. But there is some that is absolute garbage. But same can be said for rock, country and even my favorite, jazz. But hop hop  made feel like bringing the heat to an opposing player when I played defense. That's the theme of this thread. 3rd down music to get the crowd and players fired up and rowdy.

Popularity is the hallmark of mediocrity.

If it gets the students and the players going the blue hairs will learn to tolerate it. There are plenty of middle aged people now who grew up with a healthy dose of hip hop so I don't think its a big deal.

There is no dosage of hip hop that is healthy.

Since the tweet in question he's added another member to his family. That's a huge life event.

He's also promoted the following items.

    UND's New logo
    Helped introduce KFGO partnership
    Introduced the New Midco announcer
Promoted the return of home indoor track meets

Traveled to Nevada to introduce the Vegas game
    Covered the Minnesota scheduling agreement
Supported and promoted the new football uniforms and the new football helmets
I also saw a tweet about the football home and home football games with Sam Houston State
By the way, I've been told that there will be a couple more announcements Coming.

To say he hasn't supported UND sport enough is short sighted and just wrong. You obviously have an axe to grind with Hajdu.

I think the only thing wrong with Haj is that he is a Blue Jays fan and thinks the DH is a good idea!

That's the way the fans of the teams that weren't like-minded schools spun it. Apparently, Gwoz and Faison were the driving forces behind the NCHC.I thought it was a great move. The other schools in the mix don't seem to get the blame that DU and UND do. SCSU begged to get into the NCHC, but don't share any of the blame. Same with Duluth, Miami, UNO and C.C..

Again, Dilks trolls UND fans because he knows he will get a reaction and it gets him page view and sessions for his SBN College Hockey. That's what keeps his blog running. It's a smart move.

Brad Schlossman gets plenty o' hits on his blog, and does it without trolling, and by being a consummate professional - even smarter on his part.

The intent of this whole thing was to erase the Sioux name and imagery from the school's current identity.  Too keep the Sioux name would have taken the right people to speak up and the right time . . . and that just didn't happen.  And here's where I'll get the most kick back.  I'm glad the new logo has no ties to the Sioux imagery.  In fact, if this is all about the Sioux name being offensive, let's be consistent and take it off of all of the rivers, lakes, streets, cities, etc . . . if it's so truly offensive to people, why is it used ANYWHERE anymore?  Same with FIghting Irish, Seminoles, Vikings, Bucaneers, Raiders . . . anything that is derived from a certain group of people should be deemed offensive then, too, right?

If people are going to be this stupid about being PC, then bury it!  I'm not going to be one of the guys still yelling "Go Sioux".  In fact, I'm to the point that I just don't miss it at alll.

I certainly don't blame the University.  I doubt this helped their image, their heritage, or their finances.

And getting rid of the interlocked ND was a way of forcing the new logo onto ALL of the teams.  There's no other option anymore.  Like I said before, "well played UND, well played."

    GO HAWKS!!

    This is unbelievable:

The abject smarminess of his delivery alone ought to get his behind bounced from the university.  If he truly believes that the "Fighting Sioux" name was racist, he is so delusional that it's hard to believe he can get two steps out of his front door without curling up into the fetal position.  How does he square his insular world model with the very real existence of people like Eunice Davidson - for which there is strong evidence that her line of thinking is much closer to the position of a significant majority of Sioux members than his own?

FYI... Jayson says the bird will always be white, so here are a couple unofficial looks for the on-grey and on-black backgrounds/jerseys:

    White_Bird_Green_ND_on_Black.jpg

    White_Bird_Green_ND_on_Black_Green_Breas

And I have no idea what they're going to do with the black breast part on a green jersey, so here's a couple options:

    White_Bird_Black_ND_on_Green_Black_Breas

    White_Bird_Black_ND_on_Green_Green_Breas

Official color variations should be arriving in the next two weeks apparently.

At the very, very, very least, the background should always be the geographical outline of North Dakota instead of just a rectangle.

I was comparing him to two players on your own team that had rather difficult freshman seasons yet came back to be regular contributors during their sophomore campaigns. Chyzyk and Simonson are not considered busts so why should Piccinich?? And who exactly is the second NCAA "bust" on London's roster??

Believe what you want about your Dcore being too much to handle but that is only your opinion, I don't see how they would manhandle the London Knights as so many of you hope they would.

I think I've more than proven that age isn't everything. You can make all the excuses you want about exhibition games but there is no way that any college program takes the NTDP lightly and treats it as a no show game. The NTDP has shown time and time again that a bunch of 16 and 17 year old high school seniors can go up against players 5 to 6 years their senior and compete. If exhibition games are meaningless and do not tell us anything then I suppose the Canadian CIS teams are just as good as NCAA clubs..

Many of you here dismissed London's talent saying they had no depth but their top line would have easily been the top line on any college hockey team including North Dakota. Their second and third lines could easily have handled playing and thriving in the NCAA. Some posters have tried to claim that London's defense is weak. Tell me, who on NoDak's vaunted defense has the talent and skill as a Olli Juolevi? The young (18 year old weakling as so many of you like to describe CHL players) stud is a sure fire top 10 pick in this year's draft and will most likely crack a NHL roster in four months time. You think a young 18 year old Dman like Mattinen would struggle against NoDak and other NCAA competition simply because of age? The kid is talented enough to be drafted this year (ranked 139) and has the size and strength to compete against any grown man in college hockey. He stands at 6'3 and weighs in at 230, and he's quite mobile and has a cannon of a shot. Oh by the way, this player is on the bottom pairing on the Knights Defense roster.  Victor Mete, there other youngster had full ride scholarship offers from B.U., Notre Dame and Michigan and stands an excellent chance of being a late 2nd/high 3rd NHL pick this summer. If he were American he easily would have been on the NTDP, you know that team that plays against D-1 teams and actually wins some games...

All you've proven is that you're a butt-hurt MJ apologist, that hasn't enough sense to deliver your self-proclaimed "pearls of wisdom" elsewhere.

  11. Firstly, and far, far most importantly, the offer will NEVER be made.

Secondly, just because the Big 10 is crap right now, doesn't mean it always will be.

Thirdly, currently the Big 10 has a team at number 4 in the pairwise - the WCHA doesn't have any in the top 16.

Lastly, if the offer that will NEVER be made were to occur, ANY UND president would accept without the slightest hesitation.
