While Jackson's extensive tenure with UND brings continuity, several factors could pose challenges to his success: Internal Promotion Amidst Program Changes: Transitioning from assistant to head coach within the same program can be complex, especially following the departure of a long-standing head coach. Jackson's close association with the previous coaching regime might make it difficult to implement significant changes or address existing issues that contributed to prior shortcomings. Limited Head Coaching Experience: Jackson's head coaching experience is relatively limited, with his most notable stint being an interim role with the Adirondack Frostbite in the United Hockey League. The jump to leading a high-profile NCAA Division I program like UND presents a substantial increase in responsibility and pressure. Fan and Community Expectations: UND hockey has a passionate fanbase with high expectations. Some community members have expressed skepticism about promoting from within rather than seeking external candidates who might bring fresh perspectives. This sentiment is reflected in fan discussions, where concerns about the hiring process and the decision to promote Jackson have been voiced. Immediate Performance Pressures: The timing of Jackson's appointment, coming just before the opening of the transfer portal, adds immediate pressure to retain current players and attract new talent. His ability to navigate this critical period effectively will be crucial in maintaining the team's competitiveness.

He is just a big coach.

I was hoping Berry would end up on the Epstein client list, thus ending this debacle. However, with the performance this year, it probably seems he will need to email Musk on Monday about five things he has accomplished in the last five years. Can he count to five?

Yup. I'm seeing and hearing this in Western NoDak where the youth hockey kids are turning away from and no longer care about UND hockey. It will take years to repair the damage that Brad Berry has done. firebradberry.com

I like Brad Berry. I've made thousands of dollars betting against the team. It is great knowing that they will lose almost every game, but for some reason, Vegas keeps giving them points. Quit bitching guys and bet the money line on the other team.

I had B. Berry and Sandelin in my history class as a freshman in 1984. It seemed like he was Scott Sandelin's B!@#h then, and it seems he still is. He needs to go home and get his shine box.

It amazes me how people north of the Mason-Dixon line can even debate whether Berry should be fired. I was at the Bison game in Frisco, talking with an SMU law school student who mentioned how nice and fun it was to hang out and party with people from "up North." Stop it! Get pissed off, find the root cause of failure, and eliminate it. You have the greatest hockey arena in the world, and you can't hang a National Title banner every four or five years? As Mean Gene Okerlund would say, "Referee, give me a break!"

OK, Max'd out the credit cards to put SCSU on the moneyline. It seems I will be the king of the NIL Collective after tonight. I'm going to bring in some Eastern European lads. They can deal with the cold and desolate country. Plus, I hear they like Red Pepper.

I put the home equity credit line on SCSU to win tonight. My intent is to get in on the NIL Collective.

I'm asking for a friend who owns the domain name "firebradberry.com" if it makes sense to put that site into production. Any help for this friend I'm sure would be appreciated.
