He’ll need a waiver… who knows the chances…hopefully the NCAA is in a good mood. I’m interested to hear peoples thoughts on him coming back. I think it’s great for UND and the program.

Sure, and I don't know about the football kids, but Kraft had D2 offers, I think from Northern and Moorhead?? Those are pretty good D2's. So he definitely had options to go elsewhere... This seems to me like the kid voiced to the coaching staff at UND that he really wanted to stay home and go to school at UND and would be willing to walk-on. Would it be better if UND said "we don't want you to walk-on here because you are costing us next to nothing and you're a local kid and you need to go play in the NSIC" Win-win situation here with Kraft... He wants to be here, he's a capable player and hopefully down the road he can progress enough to maybe get consideration to get on the court. I imagine he is a great kid and will be a great teammate.

They are on scholarship.

Will be interesting to see what they do with the 1 scholly left I think it will either be another 4 or maybe they go back to the drawing board and target some 5's. My guess is Elvis is probably not committing. Trent Johnson has an offer and a visit soon, I would guess. Canadian flavor.. 6'7 swiss army knife, maybe he's the answer. Could be a quick and fast off season as far as recruiting... which I'm sure the staff would absolutely love.

If he plays one meaningful minute in his career, it's an absolute success.

I don't think they would play much at all on the floor together. The shooting ability on UND's team next year is definitely going to be not as good as this year, I would assume. But they seem to be trying to get more athletic and longer.

Don't disagree with you at all. Think they will be going after more "undersized" 6'7 6'8 4/5's that are mobile to provide some flexibility to those two positions.

By the looks of the offers that are reported, they appear to be going after 1's and athletic 4's or undersized athletic 5's. Maybe they feel good about having Mathews as more as a traditional bruiser, T a pick and pop/face-up 5 and want to use 1 or 2 on a guy that can roam between 4 and 5. From the outside looking in, it looks like Plan A is to get some size and athleticism and move B.J. to the 3.
