  1. i have a better idea yet. how bout they just cut the program? nobody cares about womens soccer. they should start stripping after goals if they want people to watch and cheer for the team.
  2. well it obviously wasnt so obvious to everyone siouxmenow.... see the "coach hak? dont be so sure" thread for further information.
  3. reporters dont look out for the well-being of universitys pcm. they report what they know. and yes, that is the important thing.
  4. sorry mad man, good point. 772-deek if you want one.
  5. i know you guys all love me. maybe its cuz i'm always right
  6. HMMMMMMMMMMMM GUYS I WONDER WHAT THEY COULD POSSIBLY BE ANNOUNCING??? MAYBE THE ANONYMOUS SOURCE REPORT WAS CORRECT??? UH OH GOOD THING NOBODY PUT BETS ON IT WITH ME!!!!
  7. Foss used an anonymous source when he broke the story about Dean leaving for the Blue Jackets. he was right that time. why do you people not believe foss, when he just proved an anonymous source to be correct.
  8. PEOPLE even if rt did offer hakstol the job, both of them are going to deny it.
  9. you guys can't be serious. you are saying rt is the best source because he's responsible for hiring? rt can't and won't say anything until the coach is hired. good reporters use anon. sources. look at ESPN, david aldrige always quotes anon sources when reporting stories about new nba coaches. same with guys like len pasquarelli when reporting in the nfl. its because when you go to the guy responsible for the hiring, he ISNT GOING TO SAY ANYTHING before it actually happens. that's why they have sources inside, who are willing to say it. all the good reporters find credible sources and use them. look at all breaking news stories, and i bet most of them use credible anon. scources. the herald obviously must have more sources built up than pcm. i know pcm doesnt believe in using anon sources, but he must not believe in breaking stories either. that's why he didnt break a story in this case, and the herald did. we'll see in the coming weeks, who is right. in the meantime, anyone care to put money down on it with me? if you dont want to pcm, go write your oscar nomination instead.
  10. wow pcm. your article doesnt have any anon. sources, but it also has no good information. of course rt is going to say that stuff. of course he's gonna do some damage control and not say hakstol is the coach until he is announced. i could tell you everything rt is going to say. when they hire hakstol, he'll say they looked at other coaches and etc, but reality is, they've known since day one hakstol was the guy. i'll believe the grand forks herald over pcm. they have sources that know what is going on pcm. i'm going to laugh at all of you who are in denial when they announce hakstol the coach. i really cant believe you think there is the slightest chance they'll hire someone else. i'd love to bet on it. any takers?
  11. you guys can all be such morons sometimes. the herald got tip from a "source", which they are not going to name, otherwise this "source" wont be available to them in the future. pcm, you should know that. this "source" told the paper they are gonna name hakstol the coach. obviously rt can't go saying that its correct, otherwise it would violate UND policy. he had to tell hakstol under the table that in five business days, he's gonna be the guy. now quit getting so worked up and realize hakstol is the next coach. don't go into denial now, like everyone does about everything on this board.
  12. not yet, he's going to play in indy next year. he's hopin for scholarships. with how high he got drafted, they'll start falling.
  13. well, hale and palmiscno better be finding jobs, because they obviously have no hockey future. lundbohm might be able to screw around on a minor league team for a couple of years before having to find real work.
  14. you guys always have to go into denial about everything. geeeeez, just accept things now and then. like i said before, dean is OUTTA HERE!
  15. oh come on goon, dont go into denial, just like everyone did when zach was leaving. dean is OUTTA HERE!
  16. if pitchers are that brutal, you should be able to slap them around the park if you are a decent hitter. good hitters dont bring themselves down to crappy pitching. losing to a team like that is not excusable, and saying the reason they lost is because the pitching was extra terrible is funny.
  17. How about we all be honest here. Palmiscno sucked. Go ahead and pat him on the back for scoring on some terrible teams in the Subway Classic. In all reality you guys all know that we could take a handful of players off Central and Red River's teams who could have done what he did this year. Good for him that he tried and hung in there. The bottom line is that he doesn't have the talent. Ruslan Fedotenko (now on the No. 1 seeded Tampa Bay Lightning) made him look a lot better in juniors than he actually was.
  18. My Report Card (with grades) Forwards Brandon Bochenski: A+. Very good season, led the top scoring team in the nation in points. Zach Parise: A+. Very good season, Hobey finalist. Brady Murray: A. Outstanding freshman season. Colby Genoway: A. Biggest surprise of the year. Drew Stafford: A. Very solid freshman season. Chris Porter: A. Surprising freshman season. Rory McMahon: B+. Ten goals from the third-liner is very nice to see. Something the Sioux didn't have a year ago. Quinn Fylling: B. Solid season. David Lundbohm: B. Slow start, good finish. Erik Fabian: B. Didn't play much, but was solid when he did. Looked like he is coming along. Mike Prpich: B-. At times did a great job slowing down other team's big men. At times struggled and took bad penalties. Ryan Hale: C-. He'd probably be a better defenseman than forward. Brian Canady: D. Was a scratch most the time, didn't make much of an impact when he played. James Massen: F. What happened to him? Great start to last year, has lots of potential, did nothing at all this year. Tyler Palmiscno: F. No reason he should have made the team this year. Defensemen Matt Greene: A. Picked up the offense, toned down the bad penalties. He was pushing people around all year. It is a nice surprise to have him back. Matt Jones: A. Solid defensively. Solid offensively. Consistant. Nick Fuher: A-. Highest scoring defenseman this year. Matt Smaby: B. Solid freshman year. Robbie Bina: B. Didn't play a whole lot. Was alright when he did. Andy Schneider: F. Was outstanding both defensively and offensively last year. Very ineffective on both ends this year. Lee Marvin: F. Didn't get an assist this year. Would probably be a better checking forward. Scott Foyt: N/A. Didn't play enough to get a grade. Goalies Jordan Parise: A+. His GAA is 2nd all-time for a single season in Sioux history. Outstanding freshman season. Jake Brandt: A. His GAA is 4th all-time for a single season in Sioux history. Another solid season for Brandt. Nate Ziegelmann: N/A. Didn't play enough to get a grade.
  19. tim okeefe has a problem with being too emotional on the air. i thought he was about to cry after the denver game. you could barely understand him.
  20. they lost to bemidji state. they blow.
  21. Zach Parise was not the only hockey player at UND this season. Zach Parise is not the only player in the last 50 years to play for the Sioux. Zach Parise wasn't UND's savior. He left without winning a title...without even getting to the Frozen Four for that matter. Zach Parise is not the only Hobey Baker finalist in UND's history. In fact, he's not even the only one this year from UND. Zach Parise never even led the team in scoring. Zach Parise is leaving UND after two years, but Roger Thomas has no immediate plans to drop men's hockey. Zach Parise isn't the best player in UND history. Zach Parise is not the first underclassman to leave early for the NHL. Zach Parise is not a good reason to change you're favorite NHL team. You know, there are other Sioux in the NHL. Zach Parise, from all reports, is very straight, and will not have sexual intercourse with any of you guys. That one may be hard to take for lots of you. Deep breaths. Count to ten. Find a new fantasy. When October rolls around next year, Ralph Engelstad Arena will still be standing, and for those of you who don't commit suicide over Zach leaving, you will have one of the best hockey teams in the country to watch again. Now get up, walk away from your computer, throw away your bottle of GHB that has Zach's name on it, and control the urges. I do, in all sincerity, wish you people the best in finding purpose in life after Zach. For some, I fear, it might already be a lost cause.
